Hey Bobber!
I shall try to get over here to DM's if I've got something substantial to say ~ my contributions will mostly Eppy-centric, though.

Brian needs so many more people paying attention to his legacy than he's had for the past 40 years. To me and others in my growing group of Eppy lovers, Brian's life is actually much more fascinating in so many ways than his Boys' lives.

I'm constantly trying to flush all the other Brian admirers out of the bushes, so to speak! They're lurking here and there all over the world, but unfortunately most of the ones my age aren't internet-savvy. However! I'm finding many more young people who love Brian than ever before ~ they just haven't had the support of each other until I started searching them out.

It's funny, but I'm not very good at short forum posts... mine end up looking and feeling more like magazine articles. That's one reason why, in forum posts, I tend to provide links to some other sites (such as LiveJournal) where these "articles" I've posted are much more in line with the format.

Let me know if that's all right, and if it's all right to stick a little "Fifth Beatles Movie Forum" banner at the end of my posts like a sig. First I've gotta figure out how to translate my html into the strange code used in forums (with the brackets instead of < and such) ~ I can't find a tutorial on the web or usenet groups on how to do that!   If I'm gonna be successful running a purely Brian forum I'd better find a place to learn this stuff.

I like to think of our Brian movie forum as being complementary and not competition to the main Beatles forums on the web such as DM's, since the Beatles forums all persist on calling him merely a "fifth Beatle" or "the Beatles' manager," etc.

However, I have found that you all want to know more about Brian, too. So I want to pop in from time to time if that's all right. I guess I'll always have to post within the "Fifth Beatle" category, though, unless the subject matter leans toward being more Beatley than Briany.

It's just that when I post it will almost always end up referring to Eppy.

HE WAS MUCH MORE THAN MERELY THEIR MANAGER.
HE WAS...

Yes, I found that site in 1999. Since I've been an Eppylover for 40 years, one of the first things I did when I got on the internet in 1998, as you can imagine, was search for Brian Epstein. Finally this Martin Lewis site appeared and I was surprised and pleased.

However, since the push for Mr. Lewis's Rhino Rediscovery re-issue of A Cellarful Of Noise died down, it seems he has also lost interest in Brian. Maybe promoting the book was the main reason he created the site, I don't know. Kind of sad.

Now that work on producing the movie is well underway, things seem to be looking up again for Eppy.

Here's another link that you might find interesting:
http://www.samleach.com/beatledotes.html#eppy

Sam's last statement in that section, proving that he's a great guy:
"Animosity shelved, Brian and I shook hands for the last time. Eppy had became a Rock in the Beatles career. I was content being a stepping stone."

I'm sure he's also more than content knowing he's lived almost 40 more years, too!

I suppose it'll take me some time to get used to using this. I'm not much good on the computer and techno things. I just type of word for windows! This morning I was in touch with an old friend from the Liverpool College of Art, Dave Little, and he sent me copies of the drawings he did on me, John and Stuart in 1958. I'm contacting old art school friends and am going to introduce a Liverpool College of art section in my rockandpopshop site. This morning I also heard from ramona, Scott Wheeler'w wife, to say Scott died of a heart attack. I'm extremely sad. Scott was one of the many Beatle lover friends I made on the internet and although we never met face to face, I really liked him

Hi, Bill. Awesome! Welcome to the forum.

I'm so sorry to hear about Scott. That's rough news.

I hope you get on in your computer literacy. It's not bad; once they plant the microchip in the base of your brain, it becomes really easy. Cheers, and good to see you.

All you've got to do is choose love.  That's how I live it now.  I learned a long time ago, I can feed the birds in my garden.  I can't feed them all. -- Ringo Starr, Rolling Stone magazine, May 2007
