It's the end of the world as we know it. By my reckoning, apart from Jools all terrestial pop shows are now completely teenage orientated.
One good thing - they'll have one hell of a final show. with any luck a few dinosaurs will get a dusting off.

It's just the way the music industry is going. Every other person releases an album nowadays.

Trivia question: what was the very first song and group ever broadcasted by TOTP?

BWAHAHAHA!!! I mean.. oh what a pity what a shame.

Hmph. I have nothing but contempt for TOTP.. a lot of good bands that could've made it were shut out because of them. Plus, they make everyone lipsynch. How stupid.

You're so vain, you probably think this post is about you.

I wish George could have gone on there and sung 'Unconciousness Rules'. Those dancers would still bloody dance to it. They do not wish to understand such things so they don't.

Whoa. Wasn't prepared for the vitriol TOTP generates.
Anyone else have fond memories??? I liked the fact that the same show could have Sugar Babes  and White Stripes on the same bill. I thought it had more cred than most terrestial chartshows.
New bands still saw being on TOTP as a sign of having "made it." (Didn't they?)

They should never have moved it to Sunday! It will be back just like Dr Who - the BBC will one day realise their mistake!

Isn't TOTP quite teenage oriented too?

Anyway, the Dutch version of TOTP is not going to stop. Which is kind of weird since the majority of their clips are bought from the British TOTP.
