What did people think of the film?
I've just watched it, and I thought it got stronger as the film progressed.
I really fancy buying some Cash - but don't know where to start! It seems his early stuff was fantastic & raw ..., but then his later stuff still cuts the mustard

Anybody a Cash fan, who maybe could help me?
Cheers

i agree watching that film made me want some cash, and i downloaded a few of his tunes...i only saw it about 3 weeks ago, and its pretty good, even for a film about somebody i dont particulary like.

The Essential Sun Collection 2 disc set is a must. Also the remastered and uncensored live at San Quentin album that contained the first time recorded and hit version of " A boy named Sue" is a must have.

yea, i have a Johnny Cash best of that must've been done shortly before his death. included in it is him playing and singing U2's "The Wanderer" and "One"

i also downloaded "American V" album. thats really good and reflective on his life. alot of the songs, based on the lyrics, were written after his wife passed away

maybe i'll post them in the boots forum, but probably not because i may be breaking my own rule

"if asking, begging and pleading doesn't work, always go with a song and dance number."
