SomeDude, for a young'n, you are up on your music trivia and my hat is off. I'm listening to 'Point of No Turn" by Sinatra as I post, and thanks for the info. I was fortunate to see Frank 6 times, and of course, Bill Miller was the his pianist--forever. It was sad for me to read that FS Junior had him as his pianist and he had to be wheeled out in a wheelchair. For Sinatra to trust anyone with his music was an incredible compliment, because Frank only trusted a few musicians. If Frank liked/loved people, he fought to the death, anyone that gave them mess. Bill Miller's house went down in 1969 in a California storm/landslide and his Wife/daughter were killed. Sinatra took him in, built him a new how house and took care of him as long as needed. Next time you hear 'One For My Baby', raise a glass.
As stated in the Syd Barrett thread - please keep your comments nice on this thread out of respect.
Thanks. How could anyone have anything against Bill Miller? I doubt most people even know who he is/was. Probably pinheads like LennonLegend. He was brilliant, kept Frank's timing in check along with his drummer Irv Cottler. He spent 50 years with Frank, who could be a total prick or the nicest guy ever. Bill was magnificent, may he rest in peace.
c'mon people, how bad is this board becoming when we start flame wars in a thread asking for respect. this has to stop. the last thing we need is a bunch of dumbasses saying a bunch of mess that you shouldnt be saying in a thread looking for respect.
i dont care who it is. anyone that starts it or continues it have to stop. this is sad and shameful
"if asking, begging and pleading doesn't work, always go with a song and dance number."
