And Paul was a 'guest' on The Chris Farley Show (probably circa 1993). Farley would ask his guests the most simplistic, childlike questions: "Hey Paul, you 'member.... when you were in the Beatles?" Paul: "Yes." Chris: "That was awesome!..... You said 'In the end the love you take is equal to the love you make. I always wondered.... is that true?" Paul: "I've always found it to be so." (At this point Chris is bouncing on his chair, becoming ecstatic in the moment.)
I remember one in Sabrina, when she was playing a cross-word puzzle and she mentions that she's looking for Ringo's nose and she says it shouldn't be that hard to find. Also in Still Standing that blond girl was on a date with this guy who didn't care for the beatles, and she says why don'tou like them they had like 100 hit songs, lol. Then she starts mentioning some of them.
On Project Runway, season five (the one right now), Terri, a designer, was wearing a shirt that said Yoko Ono. Not really a Beatles reference, but I thought I should tell you.
During Project Runway, Season 5, the designers were designing cocktail dresses. While designing, Tim Gunn visited the designers. One designer, Blayne, got a visit from Tim. As Tim was looking at the dress, he said, "It's looking a little Sgt. Pepper-ish..."
I saw a movie trailer on TV for the comedy "Ghost Town" with Ricky Gervais (UK version of "The Office" and the voice of the Geico gecko) and Gregg Kinnear ("Talk Soup" on E!) and they were playing "I'm Looking Through You" in the background. I wonder if it is on the film soundtrack?
This is actually a book reference and it is for Wings, I am probably straying off topic a bit but I thought I would share...
The book is called Paranoia, by Joseph Finder. A character in the book has the song "Band on the Run" in his head. His thoughts on this are: "For some reason some sappy golden-oldie song was playing in my head- Band on the Run, by Paul McCartney in his unfortunate Wings period. A song I really detest, worse than anything by Celine Dion. The tune is annoying but catchy, like pinkeye, and the words make no sense". "A bell was ringing in the village square for the rabbits on the run!" Um okay?! The damn song is circling in my head " The county judge held a grudge" "the jailer man and Sailor Sam" This is like chinese water torture! What did those stupid lyric mean anyway? Did anyone know?
