That's strange, Macca used to deliberatley sing like that a lot on the Beatles' early tracks! I never understood why!

Brian and Carl could sound a lot like each other in the late 60s. It's hard to tell it's Carl and not Brian that's singing on Pom Pom Playgirl and Girl Don't Tell Me. And something that not many people know is that Carl's not singing on the tag of God Only Knows but that you're hearing Brian twice (with Bruce Johnston).
