Fit as a cello with a broken string! I'm OK. I'm told I may need surgery on my right hip, which doesn't sound like much fun to me.

my mother is 83 and she has had both her hip joints replaced...they use a big metal ball on each side...about two weeks after the operation i went to see her and she told me she had bigger balls than me now....i told her they could have snipped your humor a bit....but she is doing well since the improved parts were added...

I'm all for improved parts!

Good on your Mam M...Hope you heal with the same wit of mind. Bet it's in the genes.
