THOUSANDS of Beatles from across the world, desperate to be among the first guests at Liverpool's Hard Day's night hotel, have inundated its website with reservation requests. They include one man in Norway who is willing to charter a plane to bring over a party of 50 Fab Four devotees. The £17m Beatles-themed boutique hotel, partly funded with European Objective One funding, will offer 110 luxury rooms, each one telling a different part of the story of the band, and will open in autumn next year. Yesterday it was revealed that enquiries from fans wanting to make reservations at the hotel on the newly launched website, http://www.harddaysnighthotel.com, had quadrupled during the Mathew Street Festival, with more than 5,000 extra hits recorded in the last few days. Many of those logging on have attempted to make reservations only to discover the online booking service won't be available until the spring. Thousands of fans have emailed asking to be put on a waiting list to be among the first guests staying at the hotel, on the corner of Mathew Street and North John Street. A number of enquiries have also been received from people wanting to work at the four-star establishment, although the recruitment drive won't be in full swing until early next year Jonathan Davies, director of Bowdena, the developer behind the project, said: "During the Mathew Street Festival, I was interviewed by journalists from as far a field as Israel and the Netherlands about the exciting plans for the Hard Day's Night Hotel. "It has been interesting to read the emails coming in via the website. "Most are from people wanting to be first to stay at the hotel, others are from fans eager to become a part of our team and some are from well wishers offering their support. "We've even had an enquiry from a guy in Norway who wants to charter a plane for 50 guests to stay at the hotel when it opens next year. It's been an overwhelming response."

There was a floor by floor lay-out at the Convention last Sunday - the rooms look VERY expensive so unfortunately I don't think the Adelphi Britannia Hotel [where the main events take place over Beatle Week] has much too much to be worried about!
I've always felt that the Adelphi treats Beatle fans like second class citizens over Beatle Week, and I'm not alone in that opinion!! You certainly wouldn't be treated like that in the Britannia hotels in London!!!
They started out as four unknown lads in a Liverpool basement and played their last gig on a London rooftop, the city's most famous sons.
Today the Daily Post reveals the first of 110 paintings specially commissioned to depict John, Paul, George and Ringo's musical journey.
The canvases, the first somewhat biblically titled "the birth of Ringo", will be exhibited in chronological order on seven floors at Liverpool's new J17million ($31 million) Hard Days Night hotel.
Starting in the basement of the hotel, the first to be entirely themed in tribute to the Beatles, the exhibition will tell the band's story from the days when the Quarrymen were gigging in the Cavern.
It will finish on the hotel's sixth floor with images inspired by their final live performance on the roof of Apple's London studios in 1969.
The four-star hotel on the corner of North John Street is due to open with a huge party in autumn 2007, and is now half way through construction.
In the last year, two extra floors have been added on top of the building's original roof level, making it six storeys high and ensuring magnificent views across the city for visitors.
Builders this week started renovation of a magnificent 19th century winding staircase, one of several original features to be preserved in the refurbishment.
Bill Heckle and his team at Cavern City Tours (CCT), who first conceived the idea more than a decade ago, will maintain a non-executive directorship.
CCT will run an information kiosk in the hotel foyer, where guests will get details about the group's Magical Mystery bus tours around the city.
Last night Mr Heckle said the hotel's opening night would be "the biggest party Liverpool has ever seen".
He said: "People are going to be really impressed. Because it is about the Beatles they think we're going to have Beatles wallpaper or something.
"But it's going to be very plush, very tasteful, and all the Beatles paintings and features are going to be very subtle."
The hotel will also include conference and meeting facilities with a "Beatles twist", an exclusive bar and four-star restaurant.
The team are to begin an international marketing campaign at trade fairs in Louisville (USA) and Hamburg next week.
An American artist known only as Shannon has been commissioned to produce an original painting for each of 110 rooms.
A smaller version of each piece will hang outside the rooms, so people can follow the exhibition up through each floor on their way up from the club.
Mr Heckle could not disclose how much the artist is being paid, but her works are known to sell for between J2,000 ($3,685) and J10,000 ($18,425) each.
He said: "Shannon is renowned as the world's greatest Beatles artist, her paintings are magnificent and we are proud to be displaying her work."
Shannon, whose big name clients are said to include Sylvester Stallone and Ringo, said she had heard through friends that Sir Paul McCartney is a fan of her work.
She said: "I was gobsmacked when Bill Heckle called me to do this job. I've been painting the Beatles since I was six-years-old.
"To have my work in the city they are from, and to have so many fans see the paintings is a real honour for me."
Central Buildings were built in 1884. The huge office block was designed by Thomas C Clarke and has been noted for its giant colonnade of polished granite.
Developers Bowdena initially signed a J10milllion ($18.4 million) deal with Cavern City Tours to refurbish the derelict Grade II listed site last May, after the plan won J2.3million ($4.2 million) European funding.
The logo for the new Hard Days Night hotel depicts the unusual opening chord of the Beatles' 1964 track from which it takes its name.
The precise arrangement of the chord has apparently caused controversy for decades but the accepted consensus is that it is a "G7 Suspended".
Bill Heckle said: "Beatles fans love finding lots of different meanings in things, and I just know people are going to love this logo.
"The way the chord is arranged is exactly the same as the Beatles' line-up, with George and Paul on the left, Ringo on his own slightly behind, and John on the right".
