'The Wall' by far. I've said it a zillion times, but that album was my bible for years and years. I've watched the movie more than any other. And, yes, it was Roger's baby, but Gilmour's songs fit in perfectly. I love DSOTM, but it is just tedious to listen to now, probably because it has been so overplayed. How many times can you listen to "Money" before you take hostages?
For the sheer quality of production and musicianship, I chose DSOTM. They spent nine months producing it. And surely it features Gilmour's best guitar playing ever.
This recent thread saved me from starting a new one. My question is: do you think Floyd will ever reform again now? I can't help thinking that last year's Live 8 reunion is the last we might ever have seen of the band.
After the beatles pink floyd are my favorite band ,so its a hard one to call ,its like telling your children in front of them whose your favorite. but with a gun to my head i`ll have to say the WALL.
Read the latest Story of Albert and find out the truth of The Battle Of Hastings and where it all went wrong for the English and indoor plumbing . @
i voted for DSOTM cuz its a masterpiece, its one of the best albums of Pink Floyd! and its the most influential album from the most influential progressive rock band, besides in DSOTM all the genius put their heads together and made that special album, and the wall was mostly made by just practically waters alone, i mean they were a band but still!! The Wall is surely a piece of musical (and not only) genius but if I have to choose between that album and Darks Side of the Moon.. Well, Dark Side somehow manages to express it all so consistantly and, in spite of being rather shorter than The Wall, gets it's message through far better. A very expressive and emotional album and each single song is a highlight. A piece of history!

Define-telly! I remember another thread here about this subject too ... different opinions tho.
I've always thought of Dark Side Of The Moon as a bit of an anomaly - though Obscured By Clouds kind of led the way a little. It seemed to come out of nowhere, with a life of it's own. Individual songwise it doesn't touch Wish You Were Here, or even Animals. As a whole though, it's a masterpiece.
IMHO
I just want you to reassure him - talk to him, make him see the error of his ways. Then I'll hit him.
'Wish you were here' I think is better than DSOTM and Teh Wall. 'Shine on' is just an amazing song, both the begining and the end versions. 'Have a cigar' is rocks, and pretty much every other song is awesome.
