Who introduced the hardline?

1. David Crosby - Long Time Gone

2. Freddie Mercury - album and song title

3. Soul II Soul - Keep On Moving (and sure, others - including Santana)

1. Who made the San Mateo recordings in 1968 which were uncopyrighted and are available in many formats?

2. Who wrote Come And Get It and who is it credited to?

3. Which Neil Young song is performed during The Band's The Last Waltz?

I don't know the answer to the first question at all GreenApple, but the other two are easy.

Paul McCartney wrote Come & Get It & Neil Young performed Helpless in the Band's concert documentart TLW.

That's right! Santana. Those recordings are easily available and some of those tracks are good. Always a nice cheap addition to your CD collection. The version of Soul Sacrifice is better than the one on Santana 1. Actually, I think the San Mateo recordings are generally better than their first album. Santana started as just a jamming band, and played in the parks in San Francisco. Mostly jams on those CDs, but it's raw and energetic. My fave band, alongside The Beatles.

You know me that well!   Yes, fairly obsessed. Not as much as I was. But, in the past enough to get most of their many albums. Only several missing. Have you got the track Jam In E out of the San Mateo recordings? Really powerful and passionate. Not all those albums are comprehensive, but there's a box set of three CDs that have almost all of them. Only cost seven quid too. Carlos is the ultimate musical spiritual musical experience.

Thats right i know you that well already..he was pretty good and yes spiritul when i saw him live in 03, going on about 'we came out of the light and eventually the music will lead us to the light..our roots' and peace and stuff like that, which is easy to say when you've got as much money as he has ..but yeah it was fun, and his band are amazing! Oh and yes i do have the Jam in E song on mine, but i really can't be arsed to listen all the way through, lol.

It's true that Carlos speaks about spirituality in a sweeping way, but he puts his money where his mouth is with his charity Milagro, and gave his $3M from the '03 world tour to AIDS programmes in Africa. You gotta respect a guy like that. At his age then - 55 - all that travelling the world and not taking a cent. Hats and bandanas off to Carlos!

Yeah i suppose, he has a cool charity...nice guy!maybe he should put some money against global warming though, with all the flying, ect. for the tour..that would be more worthwhile and important for the future, i think..then again there people with A LOT more money than him, who aren't doing anything, so good on him.
