i believe jimi actually instigated the name change...

Jimi was just a child. He could not have changed his name. Look on the net and you will find that his father changed his name when Jimi was a toddler.

Which British artist kneeled down on the stage and said a prayer for Freddie Mercury at the Freddie tribute concert in 1991? (Perhaps pretentiously so.)

Which spiritual guru was Carlos Santana a disciple of in the 1970s?

Which John Lennon hit was attributed to Lennon/McCartney?

Hello Mr. kite. CSN's first album is a classic. I love it. They never reached the same standard with subsequent albums though IMO. I like the other stuff though too. I've also got the 4-CD box set. Loads of previously unreleased really good stuff on that.

I like Hendrix a lot. Have you got the 4-CD book set? I'd really like to know what it's like. Now, in Britain, it's been reduced in price in one shop (HMV) and contains a DVD of live performances too in a new edition. Lots of alternate takes and some previously unreleased stuff on the CDs.

Yeah that box set is bloody good, i got it in the sale for only £14!! MMm i wonder why the new release in is December? Might get it..after Simon & Garfunkel's greatest hits

Is the second one Buddah, and the third one give peace a chance. And the first one Elton John?

Not Bhudda. The guru is/was a contemporary of Santana.

Yes, Give Peace A Chance.

Not Elton John.

George Michael

Sri Chimnoy (unless you mean John McCloughlin)

Give Peace A Chance

I just want you to reassure him - talk to him, make him see the error of his ways. Then I'll hit him.

Yes, Sri Chinmoy. John McLaughlin was also a disciple. Not sure if he still is.

Yes, Give Peace A Chance.

Not George Michael.

Hello GREEN APPLE you have excellent taste ,yes ive got the HENDRIX box set its very good, i was a in two minds whether to buy it because most cds of hendrix are a bit of cashing in on his name and releasing poor cds , but has some good stuff.
I also have the CARRY ON  C.S & NASH box set ,do you have DAVE CROSBYS" IF I COULD REMEMBER MY NAME "  its being re releashed soon i have heard its very good .

Who drew a map of canada on the back of a carrtoon coaster?

Thanks for that Mr. Kite. We've got the same tastes. I'm glad you can confirm the Hendrix set. It's a lot of money. I bought IICORMN not long ago. Had it on cassette years ago. Should have waited for the re-release if I'd known - the original has hissing and the sound is not so good. I might rebuy it. Especially if there's extra tracks. It's a good album, with contributions from Neil Young, Graham Nash, Joni Mitchell and others. Ambient in places.

Joni Mitchell - A Case Of You.

I'm thinking of one...
