No.  I don't plan on seeing the new James Bond flick & remake of Casino Royale at anytime since it will never be a classic.  It was over for the Bond series anyway after Roger Moore left 20 years ago since it was him & Sean Connery that defined the character.  Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan & the new guy Danial Craig are just a waste of time as JB as far as I'm concerned.  Goldfinger & Live & Let Die are my all time favorite Bond movies as well as the the title songs & in England they agree with me in a new poll I believe.  

ouch, dont be so harsh wayne. Danial Craig actually has done really well as a new bond. and Pierce Brosnan's first few movies were pretty good. hell, the last one he did he was in a car chase in a melting ice palace, thats just cool.

but Sean will always be the original, best bond. and i never really liked Roger Moore's flicks a whole lot. there were some good ones like moonraker and the other one that introduced Jaws, but Brosnan's movies were pretty good. Goldeneye is one of the best bond flicks ever, even had one of the best movie games ever (goldeneye the game was an awesome and addicting N64 game)

in fact, Brosnan had some of the best chase scenes in the series. besides the ice palace chase, there was also the tank chase in downtown moscow and the "motorcycle driving on rooftop while handcuffed to a hot asian bondgirl before sliding on one side under the blades of a helicopter" chase in Tomorrow Never Dies

Yes, I will see the movie and am looking forward to it.  The 1967 Casino Royale was intended as a spoof and was a lot of fun.  The new Casino Royale is the official Eon Productions release.

Ian Fleming defined the Bond character.  Sean Connery interpreted the character in the first of the series, Dr. No.  So well, in fact, that Mr. Fleming remarked that Sean Connery's portrayal of James Bond was precisely the character in his mind's eye when he wrote the stories.  Sean Connery's Bond in Dr. No was a bit too precise.  He was ruthless, tough and even murderous in the part, true to the novel.  Eon Productions was asked to lighten up a bit on Bond's character for future releases.  Most light-hearted in his approach was Roger Moore.

Let's not forget George Lazenby who did a wonderful job as Bond in On Her Majesty's Secret Service.  Sean Connery was a tough act to follow, but George Lazenby managed to overcome the public's prejudice in the pre-credits bit ("This never happened to the other fellow").

All the actors who have portrayed James Bond until now have done so very well and lent their talents in their own unique way to keep the James Bond character alive and up to date.  I'm sure Daniel Craig will do the same.


And this, for those who may have forgotten George Lazenby:

hahaha, we will never forget Lazenby, but he was one of those that wouldve made transistional bonds, like he was. i couldnt see him dragging it out like moore and still being a good bond.

I'm sure it's decent, I don't think there ever has been a really bad Bond movie. The guy doesn't look like a James Bond though. They should've at least picked a dark haired guy.

I don't really like James Bond movies. I think they're kind of run-of-the-mill action flicks and they objectify women. But that's just me.
