It has taken me quite awhile to talk about this but I feel it's time. My wife and I lost our infant son Luke on 10-30-06. So I would like this thread to be a memorial to him. To: Charles "LUKE" Olan Holt R.I.P 10-30-06 God bless you. Never has someone so small, so young, and who was here such a small amount of time touched so many lives so deeply and profoundly. Thank you for the joy of the nine months you gave us and always remember we love and miss you. Mom , Dad , Zachary , and Sydney |

Shivers, Larry. You know we're expecting our third one as well. Things like this makes us realise again that health is the greatest happiness. A baby is so immense innocent and vulnerable, so dependent. It is an enormous responsability to raise kids and you can only hope that everything is going to be alright in the end. I will think of you all and Luke in the next months (and later on, of course). I cried a little tear. All the best to you. |

I can't say that I understand what you're going through, because I don't think I'll ever understand something as horrible as losing a child. It's not fair that children should be taken from us.
I am so sorry that this happened to you. |

Peace be on little Luke,
from Big Luke.
Larry, I hope you are healing, your wife is healing and especially your two little ones are healing. All I can offer is a West African proverb: "God is big" [i.e., bigger than we can understand at times].

Only just seen this Larry.
Heres a poem that helped me at a time of great personal loss. I hope you may find strength from it.
Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there; I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow, I am the sun on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there; I did not die.

I'm sorry I have not replied sooner. I just want to say that I hope you and your family are getting through this and that somehow it will bring you all closer. You seem like a very supportive person and I think your wife is lucky to have someone like you at a time like this. I hope she is doing well. Please try to enjoy the holiday season as much as you can and hopefully everything really does happen for a reason and something good will come out of this experience. |
