I've figured out what happens - when I go into a thread using the "new post" links on the right of the screen, the URL amends from this: http://www.dmbeatles.com/forums/b-conversations/m-1168975937/
To this: http://www.dmbeatles.com/forums/b-conversations/m-1168975937/s-new/#num2

"s-new/#num2" is added on to the end of the URL and the page only loads to post number 2 - to load the rest of the page I have to delete the "s-new/#num2" and re-load the page.

My browser is Safari.
