Sorry i think i misunderstood you apps, i thoought you ment the drummer couldn't even accomplish the fairly 'simple' end drum solo, but obviously he just didn't have the feel is what your talking about..I don't claim to play drums like ringo, and admit he has got a very special certain style (ranging from i saw her standing there, to octopus' garden, to never without you or ringorama), although it isn't very sophisticated, in my opinion. I like Ringo's personailty and he has great style as a songwriter, singer, and his drums are groovy as well..so maybe now you see why i thought it was odd that a drummer in a tribute band, who's played for a very long time could not even play the end solo?
Sure, I see what you mean. It was Ringo's feel and the originality of his fills that makes him great. No worries.
Righty, that's what i was saying...god you gotta love Ringorama!
Unfortunately I don't have that album. But I might have heard some of it on Beatles-A-Rama!!! I've got the Ringo album, and there's some really good stuff on it. Including Ringo's compositions.
Yeah ringo is a great album as well, and i think ringorama and ringo are his best ones..i have't heard choose love yet and his 80's pop stuff is supposed to be crap although i'm sure one day i'll end up getting it all!)..anyway you must get ringorama, it has such a cool vibe and feeling to it, and never without you is beautiful (dedicated to George), and even has the solo by clapton in it.
