Well, if its from Wikipedia, dont bother posting that either, as its filled with opinions and half truths.

Wikipeadia is good but also dodgy on info at times, so my guess is that
it's wrong. I coundn't see Mull of Kintyre being Lennon's cup of tea.

It's pure McCartney... number one, the melody is reminscient of his plaintive melodic style--but more importantly is the setting...Paul, not John was enamoured of the Scottish venue....can you see John saying "yeah, drop the bagpipes down in this part.." Not in your wildest dreams.
