Hi Conny,
welcome to DM's. It is really not necessary to place your ad all over the board, for we all usually read everything! Without your permission, I have deleted the similar posts you've put elsewhere on the board. [Alan, can you do it to the ones I'm not moderating?]

Back to topic: I'd love to see the sleeve of this album and would like to know if this is really the Beatles...

As far as we know history today, there were never any recordings made of the Beatles in the Top Ten Club. That would be a major find. Then, as it is a recording of the song Help!, it must be from 1965 or later. The Beatles never played in the Top Ten Club after 1962 and they left Hamburg on 1 January 1963. They came back and did play in Hamburg, but that was on Sunday 26 June 1966, in the Ernst Merck Halle, but Help! was not on their tracklist of that tour.
So. I come to the conclusion that at least the label on your disc is fake. There is no such thing as The Beatles playing Help! in the Top Ten Club in Hamburg. You might have a live recording of Help!, which is written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney by the way, but it is impossibly recorded in the Hamburg Top Ten Club.

Where does the label say it The Beatles playing this song? It says that the songs Help! and Yesterday are written by Lennon/McCartney, which is the truth. And it says that Help! is live recorded at the Top Ten Club in Hamburg, but it does not say WHO is playing the song.

It is recorded by a band called 'The Top Ten All Stars' and put onto this compilation. That's all it has to do with The Beatles.

It's a regular hit compilation, nothing special really, the cover is missing and looking at the label I don't think the record is in a very good condition, so I don't think it's worth anything. Sorry.

Hi,
I'm Mike.I came across this thread by accident and maybe to throw some light on it.I played in The Top-Ten club in Hamburg with "The Stellas" we were there 1967/68 and also recorded there under the umbrella name "The Top-Ten Allstars".None of the songs we did were live recordings, and i guess none of "The Top-Ten Allstars" recordings would have been live since the club itself was used after closing time as the recording studio which meant certain changes had to take place, really quite an eye-opener in push button technology!  Since we already had a contract with CBS and had recorded for them in their studios in Frankfurt,we recorded for The Top-Ten as part of their "Allstars" records as i suspect most of the bands did,and who knows what band is actually playing on the recordings. So Conny may just a bit of a gem with her record....if you look at some of the bands that did play in The Top-Ten Club  and excluding The Beatles they could be anyone, Mike.
