Hi, new here. Hope to be sticking around and participating a while.

I put this question out on another board, but thought that someone here may be able to clue me in too.
My question is about the stereo mix of "Strawberry Fields Forever" that seems to have appeared on a few bootlegs and that is known as RS5 [I heard it on the Pegboy "It's Not Too Bad" CD]. I heard that this particular mix was previously officially released on the "Magical Mystery Tour" LP in some countries. Was just wondering if that was true, as I'd like to have that mix on vinyl but need to know what nationality releases I should be looking for to track it down.

So, does anyone know if that mix has ever been legitimately released, or was it just left unused and unheard til the bootleggers put it out?

Hi James, welcome to DM's.

I have never heard of an official release of this particular mix. But then again... I think The End will know the answer to this.
