it was bare and i was there i did not daly nor stare i turned toward me chair and began to wait for the bear cause naught did she care that i would not scare from mine chair without seeing that patch you know where!!
I Googled an obscure Beatles fact question which led me to a post by raxo which provided the answer. From there, I perused the rest of the DM's Beatles site and joined this forum shortly thereafter. That was a little over a year ago.
I wish I could remember what it was I searched for! But I do remember my first post. I mentioned that one of my favorite back up vocals was Frere Jacques in Paperback Writer. I also remember the first person to welcome me to the board. That was raxo in the very next post on that thread.
So, thank you again, raxo, for helping me find this site and for that warm welcome.

WOOOOOOOOW!!! That's sooo nice of you!!!
I didn't know that I had provided "the answer to an obscure fact question" ... surely it was by accident ... but it's good to know it (I promise not to do it again)!!!
But the thing I'm going to be proud of it's going to be "for helping you find this site" ... that's really important to me!!!
Thanks for this post of yours and for your words and pictures ... I'm glad that you found this site and that you're still here with us, Hello Goodbye!!! Again: thanks!!!
I'm so glad you're here, too, Hello Goodbye. George's essential nature would never have been revealed so effectively without your help. Your pictures always bring a smile. Cheers.
All you've got to do is choose love. That's how I live it now. I learned a long time ago, I can feed the birds in my garden. I can't feed them all. -- Ringo Starr, Rolling Stone magazine, May 2007
For all I know, Ringo might be a yogi disguised as a drummer! - George Harrison

Thank you, HH. I'm so glad you're here too. I enjoy your thoughtful insight and humor.
I didn't know that I'd start such a lengthy investigation by my simple post, a year ago, that "the rabbit was George." The Magical Mystery Tour cover told us that almost forty years ago.
... So thanks Bobber and K_E - so glad to be here!
Hehehe, I remember I had Cookie-related problems and couldn't join for a while, so unlike Hello Goodbye who had a relevant and interesting first post, my first post was about Cookies and the fact that I can finally log on, and an apology for the inconvenience which I caused even before I joined! hahaha...
So yeah, as the song goes, "it's wonderful to be here"...
I'd ask my friends to come and see... an Octopus's Garden with me ^___^

It just goes to show how important these forums are. Even when it seems obvious, there is always more to learn about the Beatles. Cheers.
