Thanks pc31 for sharing it (and Bobber for posting it, of course) ...
... I've been re-visiting this concert lately and I've realized that Sounds Incorporated's frontman was doing the Jim Morrison thing almost 2 years before he became famous with The Doors ... for some reason I've never noticed it till this week
I'm still really surprised that Shea Stadium hasn't been released on DVD! I still think it is the best concert ever in the history of pop music!! have to watch the performances on YouTube for now.
It's been a Hard Days Night & i've been working like a dog!
Don't know if anyone has started this before or where to put it, so here it is: August 15.............43 years ago the Beatles played Shea Stadium to the biggest crowd ever at the time. Any of you got vids of it??? Beatles' Anthology has got some footage of it and I've got a "boot" of the complete show on DVD. What do y'all have on Shea???
^ Just the clips from the Beatles Anthology for me!
"Wings IV introduced Jimmy McCulloch, a spunky lead guitarist with grit, able to spur Paul on unlike any previous soloist. His debut track, the magnificent single `Junior's Farm', stands as one of Wings' finest emotional and technical releases."
"Few people on this planet know as much about Jimmy's musical history than you."
"I'm Joe English and I'm from Glasgow, Scotland." xD
46 years ago today was the Beatles performing in Cavern Club. It was the first shot filming. and 42 years ago tomorrow ( 23 Aug) ,The Beatles also held a concert in Shea Stadium.
^ That's awesome! I would have been like OMG, The Beatles.
