But she tells me today the reason she asked me to explain my lesson because HE CAN'T SEE! So I mean, I really feel like an a**. She usually doesn't ask me to explain the lesson so that really threw me off.
I so understand this. It's a matter of context. I don't recognize people in the grocery store even if I work with them-- they're in the wrong place. So I can understand not expecting Stevie Wonder, oh, in your classroom. It would have been nice if you'd had some warning, though.
Heh. At my parent conferences last week the parents kept thanking me for getting their kids into the Beatles. It's so funny. Most kids instantly love the Beatles as soon as they hear them. All I have to do is play them a few songs, show them The Yellow Submarine and they're hooked. That's true genius.
I think this is adorable-- also interesting! Perhaps there really was something to the Beatles after all that made them popular. It wasn't just hype!
All you've got to do is choose love. That's how I live it now. I learned a long time ago, I can feed the birds in my garden. I can't feed them all. -- Ringo Starr, Rolling Stone magazine, May 2007
For all I know, Ringo might be a yogi disguised as a drummer! - George Harrison
Thanks Marie. I have a feeling that people think I'm either lying about this or bragging. I'm doing neither. I just thought it was something exciting to share amongst music fans. That's all really. I'm still bummed about it. But oh well. I keep praying he sends his kids to our school, but I highly doubt it. Wah.
Aw, don't feel bad! We all have blonde moments. At least you can say he was in your classroom. Anyway, maybe it's for the best. I don't know about you, but if I knew I was in the same room as Stevie Wonder I would have turned into a stammering idiot.
You're so vain, you probably think this post is about you.
I agree, I think if you had known it was Stevie, you may have gotten really nervous! but it is a shame that you didn't get to say anything. Oh well, don't feel bad. At least you can say you had him in your classroom! how cool is that?!
