Raxo's attempt to make wordpuns in English.

And I like him for it!   Especially as a rough-and-ready working class humour 'Britlander'.

I'm not calling it a joke--I said John did not put forth the same he did for Abbey Road or even

Something New.

He was tierd & wanted breaks form touring--So the mind set of tour was done & Sgt Peppers follwed

Hennry & his Medicinal Band & every other long named  artist ect.

That's all I sad--1 must read careful the writtings--even when you take any foods.

It might not be dated.

... or pop peras instead, eh pnxo?!

Sgt. Pepper's spice-alley is a giant step forward: the audience noises, applauses in a Day In The Life ... for a non-live album I think that it was a great idea ... and the lack of pauses between some songs was another new idea (they were saying: no singles in this one) ... so it could be a pre-pop pera (Porompompom, poropo porompompero pero!)

Hardly a concept album though. So I can't see that it was an opera.

No problem--Think of Hasrd days night, they realy took Ringo wrong .He was actualy

felling left out & they put in script  (LOOK AT HIM SCAPEING HIS HOOTER IN THE BOOK--SHOULD BE OUT PARADEN)

That alone stated Leave the band.
Or you can take it as you have no life.Go make one being nothing again.

theres endless ways to take it.

I took it as the this--Look at what you are doing in this point & time.
Get a grip & quit feeling down. They realy love you & you want to be a loner.

Thats how I took it.

It was not my intention to say it's an opera album ... but, as it was pnxo who asked, I answered him using a pun in sunnish with a well-known song's refrain   ... pre-pop pera (Porompompom, poropo porompompero pero!)

I should have read more closely really. I did read a long time ago that they wanted to arrange the first letters of the songs to spell something. And, there was some talk too of doing an album about a boy growing up in Liverpool; now if they had done that, it would have been great!

I don't think Sgt Pepper and Abbey Road were concepts but Macca did start the whole
Pepper concept off. But Pepper is really a straight forward album with brilliant songs! and it had this beautiful idea of sgt pepper & his band!
Abbey Road is very sraight forward i think. I don't find any concept in Abbey Road even though some people seem to think the medley was. A lot of them were unfinished and put together to end the album off.  come together, something and octopus's garden all all seperate songs and don't seem at all in a concept. Abbey Road is a classic of course!!

It's been a Hard Days Night & i've been working like a dog!

I think that the only "concept" album was going to be Get Back

Welcome to the forums, Andy Smith ... hope you'll enjoy them!

Peppers was concept. Lots of people say it is. It wasn't thought of at the time as concept by anyone in the studio but it has been labelled with a concept tag, people like tags.

So yes it is concept now but it weren't then you see.

f*** loads of albums are concept, most of them.
