I'm writing some copy for a big office of architects. They want a new brochure on some projects they're doing. Their slogan is (translated) Dream Think Dare Do. I am writing about four projects which appeal to each of this verbs. I thought it was a nice idea to use some Beatles lyrics to go along with the copy. I have 'One sweet dream came true' to go with 'Dream' and 'Say the word I'm thinking of' to go with Think. But I am still looking for two other Beatles lyrics that express something about 'dare' and 'do'. Any opinions and suggestions are more than welcome
I've looked here: http://www.beatletracks.com/ (click "Only A Northern Song") but nothing matches with "dare" and lots -as you could have expected- with "Do" ...
Good Night - "Dream sweet dreams for me./Dream sweet dreams for you" (tho your choice is better) Think For Yourself - "I've got a word or two/ to say about the things that you do" She Came In Through The Bathroon Mindow All You Need Is Love -"There's nothing you can do that can't be done"
Yeah, I've checked that. I like 'There's nothing....' by the way. I think I will use that. Leaves me with 'dare'.
What about Hey Jude lines - "Hey Jude, don't be afraid/You were made to go out and get her" or "Hey Jude, don't let me down/You have found her, now go and get her" or "You're waiting for someone to perform with/And don't you know that it's just you, hey Jude, you'll do, The movement you need is on your shoulder"
Although 'There's nothing...' is a bit negative when it's used as a single line...
I've realized, yep, ... let's search for something more positive then ... something in the vein of Hey Jude "Remember to let her into your heart/Then you can start to make it better"
All I've Got To Do Any time at all, all you've gotta do is call and I'll be there. Why Don't We Do It ... What You're Doing? - "Wond'ring what you're gonna do" Come Together - Got to be a joker he just do what he please (?)
Are you sure you can get away with that, since these lyrics are copyrighted? Of course just "'One sweet dream came true" or just "the word I'm thinking of" wouldn't be a problem, but four Beatles quotes in one brochure...
I work in the advertising business as well, so I know that copyright issues can be pretty nasty...

Tell me about it!!!
I just want you to reassure him - talk to him, make him see the error of his ways. Then I'll hit him.

I think I can. Maybe I'll translate it into Dutch or chance a single word. 'One sweet dream come true' and 'The word I was thinking of' for instance. On the other hand: Beatle lyrics are all over the place, used in all kinds of Beatles (and non-Beatles websites). I don't think I will be sued for this. But thanks for the warning anyway.

I'd check if I were you, just to be sure. A commercial brochure is of course not the same thing as a homemade fansite.
The company I work for has lost literally hundreds of thousands of euros on copyright lawsuits the last few years (thank God I wasn't responsible for any of them).
