I find it annoying that he always sings really cliche songs, like Long And Winding Road, Hey Jude, Let It Be, Band On The Run, for example. I wish he'd play more lesser known, but still good songs.

He tried with his last tour (Please Please Me or I'll Follow The Sun) but I agree that he has to play lesser known ones ... if you're going to play 40 (more or less) songs and you've got enough stuff why don't you try something different each time?
First of all, I like the song The Long And Winding Road. In fact, I love it. I know I'm in the minority, but I love it.
What always annoys me though is that Paul always sings "That leads me to ye door" live. Why can't he just sing "YOUR door"?
Maybe he's trying to put some more scouse back in! lol

Coz most people in different places want the same songs? ;P Maybe he should advertise different set lists or do a poll in each tour location! lol I loved his Back to Beatles set when I saw him at Earls Court...One of the best experiences ever.
The tracklist: Honey Hush Blackbird Calico Skies Honey Don't Celebration Welcome India Lady Madonna
"The Secret Website Show - REPORT by Mike Kovacich
The show started right off with a redition of "Honey Hush", one of the cover songs Paul did on "Run Devil Run" but this time Paul is on his Les Paul and does the 1st and 3rd lead guitar solos. Rusty does the 2nd lead solo and Brian is on bass. Wix and Abe are playing as well, in fact the whole band is performing the entire show. All camera shots are on the band as they are performing on-stage with the same setup of the tour. There is no audience what-so-ever.
After finishing Honey Hush, they go into a short version of some Jimmi Hendrix, "Foxy Lady", yes that's right, Paul on lead guitar.
Jumps right into a very upbeat version of "Blackbird" with the whole band. Audiences in Osaka were treated the next song and now we can see this performance as they did a great version of "Calico Skies". Paul goes back on his Les Paul doing "Honey Don't" a Carl Perkins song covered by The Beatles.
The next song was a wonderful surprise for me, and from the opening piano chords of Paul's piano, I immediately recognized it and was amazed. They performed a fantastic version of the instrumental "Celebration" from "Standing Stone" and the bootleg of 'The Rupert the Bear' unreleased soundtrack.
A kind of jam followed with a song I guess was called "Welcome" very similar to the Welcome song when you first enter to the secret website. Paul introduces Rusty, Wix, Abe, Brian and then himself as Paul Ramone.
Another previously unheard song called "India" was performed, this must have been from the Driving Rain sessions.
The final song they played was "Lady Madonna" with Thadeus Richard on clarinet. The middle was extended a bit for an extra solo. It is speculated that this "Secret Website Show" was recorded in New Orleans as Thadeus did go up and perform this song with the band.
All in all it was a sweatest little show as we got to hear tunes as advertised, "Never-Before-Seen Footage and Performances". As I said all songs were with the entire band and they were complete from start to finish. Thanks Paul, it was great, can't wait to see what else you have up your sleeve."
I could agree too ... but there is room for Guys songs and Wings too apart from some interesting pieces of work that public would like too (some are even hits) and that Paul don't play live ...
After all it was Paul that did songs with Mike Jackson & Paul that agreed to sell the rites of the Beatles catalog to Mike!
It's not right to here Mike get paid for Beatles songs & sing Beatles!
Paul agreed to sell the rights? Where were the other three camps when Paul was fighting for them? Thats right, they didnt show up. George, Ringo, and Yucko were as much or maybe more at fault than Paul. Lets get our facts straight here.
The songs sold the 1st time around 1979----1980 he compleated his working recordings!
I'm forgot the year Capitol offerd the Beatles sets..
I know in 1979 John was very upset he lost the rights to his early music! He had just gotten back with Yoko & Wrote Oh yoko!
His ordeal with May Pang was over!
He had done concerts with Zappa--Elton John---John Sinclaiir & Elephants Memory---Now he was ready to take on the world!
He was shot---the lps released & they did good! 20 yrs later Yoko digs up Free as a bird & Real Love & gives it for rites as Beatles for more more!
She's in debt & the auctions of selling his piano---his guitars ect did not pull in enough!
The New hype gose out! Millions spent on tv adds--2 new Beatle songs with reunion!
The world bought into it! It sells record amounts on Anthology 1!2 & 3 do record amounts as well! The vhs & dvd are released--sells sky rockett! Now all are happy! Yoko has money--George can have peace --Ringo was lost to begin with & finealy found a closeing! Paul just got that much richer!
I can asure you--John had no intent for free as a bird or real love to be Beatles!
As a bealtes fan--It's good--lots of recordings were unvaulted! As a Lennon freind --those were to be a big coming out after milk & honey & Double Fanstasy!
He was on a roll!
I'm just sitting here --watching the wheels go round! I realy love to watch them roll!
That cheesy imitator keys that Wix plays, they sound fucking awful. It makes Eleanor Rigby sound hilarious.
I hear you. Paul needs to bring back a real horn section back like he did in his 'Wings over the world' concerts. 'Jet' sounds so much beefed up with a real horn section.

I think you lost the point of the post before you wrote the thing. Or is it just me?
Adverts are OK. The Nike Revolution advert was pretty funny the song is anti-revolution so whats so great about the 'new' product? What I dislike is when a good song turns up in the middle of some poor TV show.
