Pure genius Mr. K. It's one of a whole host of classic British TV series from the 60's and 70's. Sadly though it made Portmeirion a bit of a tourist trap.
I just want you to reassure him - talk to him, make him see the error of his ways. Then I'll hit him.

funny, not long ago you told me you think it will be a good remake....
The Prsioner thread! It is one of the best tv series! Been recommended to watch it by Mr Kite, but couldnt find it anywhere, so I read the transcript, and then I got it for my brithday! Got the family to watch and I think i know episode Once Upon A Time off by heart!
Excellent series! No remake will capture that excellence, i say.

I love the Prisoner, watched it at a very early age. Got to admit my favourite episode was 'Living in Harmony', I think it was called. The one where the village is a Western town and No. 6 resigns as Sheriff.
Don't know about the remake but if they do make one, they'd better set it at Portmeirion or they'll have me to deal with.
'Did you ever hear of the Seattle Seven? That was me.... and... six other guys.'

How early? I mean, I think one will understand it differently at different ages, so to speak. I bet that if I watch it again 5 yrs from now, I'll take it to mean different to what i think it means now ,

Oh you beat me to it, I was about to ask what's everyone's favourite episode(s)
One of my favourites is Once Upon a Time. As KE said, we've watched this one... er, a lot . And Leo McKern is so good Definitely my favourite No. 2.
Another one I like is Hammer Into Anvil. All those things that No. 6 did to confuse No. 2... like listening to the same record 3 times And then there's "may the sun shine on you today and always" Kinda sad when No. 2 is forced to report himself though... coz I still think of him as the Superintendent from Help, hehe...
The elections one is good too, Free For All, right? I like how the newspaper reporters keep putting words in his mouth and when he actually has something to say they write "no comment". Ironic.
Schizoid Man is quite cool too, although it got me confused the first time I watched it.
Ooh, ooh, and the one with The General is really good "W-H-Y"
My least favourite one is Change of Mind, with that operation *shudder*
Sorry to go on about it, but I quite like The Prisoner! Good to know about the thread
I'd ask my friends to come and see... an Octopus's Garden with me ^___^
