I'm afraid so ... and I've read somewhere that this contract it's only for one album (I'm not sure if it's true tho) so maybe he's just releasing some of his outtakes to get some extra money (contract and tour) to pay Heather ...
I know he's got money more than enough but knowing him!
"Paul McCartney will hit the road sometime in the fall to promote his upcoming album, which is expected out in June. McCartney's lead guitarist Rusty Anderson posted an update on his myspace.com blog (myspace.com/rustyandersonmusic) saying that, "On the Paul McCartney scene, last I heard the tour is postponed 'til the fall. I'm not quite sure where yet. The record that we started and got over half done with Paul at Abbey Road (Studios) a while back should be finished by now. It sounds amazing. Very dynamic and colorful."
Rusty Anderson says that recording with McCartney at the legendary Abbey Road Studios where the Beatles recorded the majority of their work is a surreal experience: "That's pretty trippy. It was really fun, you know, having Paul show us around and say, 'Oh, this is the room that we recorded (the Beatles') 'Yer Blues' in. We all set up in this little tiny room and crammed the drums and the amps and everybody in there, and recorded it.' And I'm like, 'Damn!' (Laughs) That's pretty amazing.'"

If I were Paul, I'd redo some classic Capitol tracks so that he could own the masters of the new versions. While they might not be as good as the Beatles, Wings or solo versions, you never can tell. I know we've all got the "definitive" versions in our heads (maybe opened up a little by the Anthologies), but now's the time for redoing something like "Mother Nature's Son" or who knows what. It might be a little cheesy, but if I were Paul, I'd rerecord everything in his catalog, own the masters, before he gets too old to sing them. Screw Capitol/EMI.
INSIDER SAYS NEW PAUL McCARTNEY ALBUM ISN'T SCRAPS FROM PREVIOUS PROJECTS AFTER ALL
By: Howie Edelson A source close to Paul McCartney insists that his upcoming album is not filled with cast-offs from his most recent albums. Shortly after McCartney announced his one-album deal with the new Starbucks/Concord Music record label Hear Music, there were reports that the set would feature several new songs, with the rest of the album being padded out with rejects from his last albums Driving Rain (2001) and Chaos And Creation In The Backyard (2005). The McCartney fan website themaccareport.com posted that according to the insider who has heard the new album, "They recorded a lot of songs and made an amazing album. There's no songs from (the) Driving Rain or Chaos (sessions). It's all new... The songs are very aggressive... and more important: they are really very emotional." The source added that, "Most of the album is all Paul, although the band (Rusty Anderson, Brian Ray, Abe Laboriel, Jr. and Wix) are playing parts on some of the songs and singing background sometimes." The album is said to have been recorded with different line-ups between 2003 and the present in various studios, including London's Abbey Road and McCartney's Sussex home studio The Mill. The time frame, which coincides with the sessions for McCartney's last album, casts some suspicion that the new collection features no outtakes from the project. After the release of his last album, Chaos And Creation In The Backyard, McCartney explained that his band didn't mind being sidelined while he played "one-man-band" on most of the tracks:"The band were very cool and understanding about it. They said, 'Look'-- you know they've all made records -- they said, 'Whatever it takes, you know, to make the record, because we'll all go out and do it live.'You know, 'We'll be playing it live.'That's how it came about, actually." Concord Music Group president and CEO Glen Barros told musicweek.com that McCartney's album being marketed in both Starbucks shops as well as traditional outlets will open up a new door for McCartney's music: "I think we can do a lot to reconnect him with his audiences from the past and certainly build new audiences. You have 44 million people walking through Starbucks stores every week, and that creates a tremendous amount of awareness... and we'll use certainly the digital medium in a very creative way." McCartney's still-untitled album is due out by the summer. Contrary to previous reports, McCartney will not be taking his post Beatles solo catalogue with him to Hear Music. McCartney still has an active working relationship with the EMI's classical division, who will be most likely be releasing his upcoming guitar concerto. McCartney first signed to EMI Records with the Beatles in June 1962. In other Beatles-related news: Ringo Starr said in a video update on his official website ringostarr.com, that he has several new projects in the pipeline. In addition to the upcoming studio set tentatively titled Liverpool 8 due out this spring, he'll be releasing two live projects: a CD from his 2005 Chicago concert with his studio band the Roundheads, and a DVD featuring his 2006 All Starr Band, which included the Zombies'Rod Argent, Richard Marx, the Average White Band's Hamish Stuart, Shelia E. and rocker Billy Squier. Also in the pipeline is a new greatest hits compilation from Capitol Records. Never believe stories reporting to be from 'an insider', or 'a source close to...'. If you think about it, they have about a 5% truth rating. Just look at how many rumours come out of Apple/EMI!

It's a term a lot of us "techies" have used often and usually refers to some device like an mp3 player or digital camera's storage capacity, for the media in use is close to filling up. In this case however, it is referring to the title of the new Paul McCartney album. This name `Memory Almost Full` was rumored to be the title for nearly a week now but there also were a few other titles floating around and as usual, MACCA-Central tries not to probogate rumor without more substantiation or first hand information.
This morning a MACCA-Central member "jgkojak" posted in our oBLOGdi-oBLOGda forums the fact that Barnes & Noble now have a page setup for the album. See below:
Album Details Release Date: 06/05/2007 Label: HEAR MUSIC Catalog No.: 30348 UPC: 888072303485 Sales Rank: 169,822 The fact that this page is up is probably because of a mistake over at Barnes & Noble but since they had this information in the first place is enough to validate this. No picture is available but I'm sure that's coming very soon. Hear Music is going to do it's best to promote this album so to impress Paul and launch their label with a BANG. We are all looking forward not only to the music itself, but to see some well deserved promotion of Paul and his on growing collection of new music. Not vintage, re-hashed versions of classic material of the past but new music.
