I thought it was because they needed a drummer and he had a drum kit or something which belonged to the college... something like that...? Am i on the right track?

yep, its because he was someone who owned a drumkit so they got him in!

ask away with questions!

In the song Strawberry fields forever, the line "nothing to get hung about" meant what?

I assumed that it always meant - Nothing to get hung up about, and lennon just fiddled with the lyrics to make them work.

What was the last song John Lennon performed live to a paying audience?

I stayed up late watching American History X and didn't fall asleep until 3.00. My boss is off sick so I've decided I'm incapable of real work today. (God I'm getting old - staying up late watching telly knocks me out for a day. I used to be a soldier.)
I'm going to think of a question now.

I've found I can still function if I go to bed late, but the heat (31) and humidity (62%) today are making it impossible. I'm sure it's actually cooler outside, but I've got the painters in and I have to make sure the cats don't make a run for it and find themselves a new home.

it was because as a child he was told by a friend he could be hung for going into the property, so said its noting to get hung about!

Ridiculous Beatle Trivia:

Q:  What do Pee Wee Herman and Mother Theresa have in common with regards to Beatle history??

A:  Both were born on August 27th, the date Brian Epstein died.

Ok, don't know if this is too easy or not. On the Sgt.Pepper cover, what do the yellow flowers which are in the shape of a guitar supposedly spell?

Call me old fashioned, but I thought the whole idea was to let someone else answer?
