My collegue just rang Three Valleys Water and the hold music was She Loves You (definately the original).
Are they allowed to do this? Surely they must pay royalties? If it can't be used for ads how can it be used for hold music?

I can't believe that! That's made me feel quite angry.
You can't use beatles for back-ground music, that's disgracful!
not sure on the royalties, don't know enough information on that buisness

Well alot of places will just patch their radio's into the phone system for the hold music. That would take care of any royalty problems.
