Has anyone noticed that on the Ringo cd cover just under the green apple there's like a banner thing that says on it duit on mon dei. Now it can be latin (mon dei= my god?) or it can be pure english (do it on monday). Ah, but why would it say it there?

Besides, has anyone analysed the cover? There are load of people there and you can actually recognize some of them (eg Humpty Dumpty, Frankensteins monster- not that they are people). What do you think of the cover and its content? I personally really like Voorman's drawings.

I think the cover is a piss-take on Pepper.
I found this:
"If you wondered what it meant, look no further ... it is a typical piece of wry Beatle humour.
It is derived from the Royal motto "Dieu et mon droit" which is actually French for "God and my right". "Dieu et mon droit" is the motto of the Sovereign of England. The motto appears below the shield on the Royal Coat of Arms. The words were the military password chosen by King Richard I in 1198.
It doesn't take much to see that "Duit On Mon Dei" is just one step away from the Royal motto that the Beatles would have obviously seen. This motto became a part of the Apple ethics, which if you read it slowly in English you will see it becomes "Do it on Monday" ! ... e.g. let's not bother today ... lets "Duit On Mon Dei".
This of course preceded Harry Nilsson's album of the same title "Duit On Mon Dei", which appearred in 1975. And clearly Nilsson would have encountered the phrase having worked on this album of Ringo's."

It's on the edge of a pound coin for the less observant members.
