Don't know if this song is about (not for) Brian, I never thought or knew about it till now. It might be about him, but I don't think John is gay. That whole thing about on vacation or whatever with Brian was probably a joke, you know how John is. He wants to keep people wondering about it, and still wondering about years later. I don't know. This is probably just coincidence, but in the Anthology movies, they play You've Got to Hide Your Love Away at the part where Brian dies.

Hee! At least they're billing it as fanfic-- someone's made-up fantasies.

Even though both principals in this fantasy voyage are dead, it still strikes me as irresponsible to put words in the mouths of real people--many of whose friends and family are still alive. I know many disagree with me about this; they believe history should be dressed up with fictitious quotes to make it more interesting. I prefer to get as close as I can to what really happened; otherwise, how am I ever supposed to understand?

All you've got to do is choose love.  That's how I live it now.  I learned a long time ago, I can feed the birds in my garden.  I can't feed them all. -- Ringo Starr, Rolling Stone magazine, May 2007
