My alarm went off this morning and the people on the radio and the DJ was all excited saying, did I just hear that a Beatles ipod was confirmed for Christmas!? Apparently there's going to be a Beatles Yellow Submarine special edition ipod that comes with all their albums already downloaded. It's supposed to be ready for the holidays!! That's so cool!!! I'm so pissed though because I wasn't going to get and ipod until his happened, but then I finally bought one a couple of weeks ago and now I hear this!! I guess I'm gonna have two ipods now. Here's some info: AHHH!

Get set for Apple's Yellow Submarine Beatles iPod
Could there ever be an Apple gadget more desirable than the iPhone? Yep. How about a limited-edition Yellow Submarine iPod, with every single Beatles album preloaded onto it? Oh yes.

There were plenty of rumours about just such a device earlier this year, but nothing came of them. However, according to music industry consultancy Music Ally, the Yellow Submarine iPod may be back on Apple's roadmap, now that the iPhone launch is out of the way.

What's more, it'd be launched to tie-in with Beatles tracks finally going on sale on Apple's iTunes Store, possibly as a one-month exclusive before becoming available through rival digital music services. Kat's mocked up an image of how the Yellow Sub iPod might look – would you buy one?

Here's a pic of a mock up. I hope it looks betther than this actually. On the radio they kept saying it was going to be SHAPED like a Yellow Submarine, but how would that work? Maybe you guys can find more info. I gotto go to work.

Oh this is soooooooooooo sweet. I'm so glad I waited to get an iPod. I don't suppose many of us would have use for the Yellow Sub iPod though, as we already have all of the albums anyway.

Is this what I'm hearing?  Apple is going to issue an iPod that already has ALL the Beatles music loaded into it?  Is this a dream?  I'd pay top dollar just to have something like that - remastered Beatles songs on an iPod?  Somebody pinch me!

I already have an iPod, but I wouldn't mind having a second one.  One for Beatles, the other for everything else.  

When is this magical iPod slated for release?

sure you can put Beatles songs on your iPod - just like I did - but they sound like crap compared to all the remastered material I have that's non-Beatles.

this supposed upcoming iPod will have remastered songs.

I read that if they do allow their music on itunes it will be for a limited time only. Which is pretty damn smart when you think about it. I mean, if it's only available for a certain amount of time people will rush to buy it and they'll make a forutune. Not to mention the charting. They sure know how to run that Beatles empire.

These iPods were only ever a rumour. The only time it's been done was with U2, and I think that was something to do with one of Bono's causes. It would be a good marketing ploy for them to do it though. But this always assumes that The Beatles will sign with Apple. I can only imagine that they're looking for a better deal, seeing as it's not all online yet.
