Marilyn Manson to do Let It Be. Rolf Harris to do Across The Universe (with wobble board of course.)
Anything irreverant really. Just to remind us that all this shouldn't be taken too seriously.

Rolf's done a Beatles song. Can't remember which though.

I'd like to hear Black Rebel Motorcycle Club doing Helter Skelter.

I'd like to see somebody try to remake Happiness is a Warm Gun. I'm sure somebody has, but I'm not aware of it. I don't know who could do it and not screw it up though. Mainly because nobody can sing like Lennon or do such great Beatle harmonizing. But I'd still like to see somebody try cuz it's a great song that nobody really knows.

World Party have done it. Pretty good, though not much different.

The Breeders did it on their Pod album in 1990, which is a great album.
It's an ok cover but not fantastic.
I wonder if someone would cover Revolution #9

There's quite a few World Party Beatles covers. I'm just waiting for permission from Karl Wallinger (World Party) to post them here.

I would like to see Aerosmith do a whole album of Beatles covers myself because their covers of Come Together & Helter Skelter sound like originals.

There answer for me is "none".  There are no remakes I would like to see.  For 90% of their songs, there is no place to go but down!

The Beatles covers that I rreally like are by jazz musicians that try to do something different.  The Jaco Pastorius version of "Blackbird" is amazing, and Scofield Medeski Martin and Wood version of "Julia" is very cool.

I can't think of anything either.  I haven't ever heard a Beatle cover that I like.  Maybe I'm presumptuous, but for good or for bad, the originals are the best.  Everything I've heard from reggae to country to punk is contrived at best and weak at worst.  You can't improve on perfection.  Flattery aside-go to the source

Ugh, what's the point?? They took great songs and made them mediocre. Great job to them. They should stop now.

What do you think of Joe Cocker's With a Little Help From My Friends? I've heard it been called the definitive version and so on. Even by Paul I think. Personally I think Ringo's has more charm.

That's a good example Sandra, I guess.  JC's versions of 'Little Help' and 'Bathroom Window' were very cool for the time, but if I had my choice, it's no choice.  Ringo's voice fit it best.  What can you say?  Some poachers did a better job than others, but it's still the Beatles...

Kevin, you got me into this whole wobble board thing.  Got to make one and get going on it.  How about wobble board on "Everybody's Got Something to Hide Except for me and My Monkey" in place of that damned cowbell?

In terms of covers I'd like to hear Elvis or Jerry Lee in their prime do "Oh Darling" or "Love me Do" by Wilco.

I would have loved to have heard the Clash remake a Beatles or Lennon song. That would have been cool no matter what.

I don't know. But some remakes are the worst. I suppose the worst cover ever recorded was Michael Jackson's 'Come Together'. The worst!

the aussie comedian Kevin "Bloody" Wilson does a scathing satire of Harris in "Why Doesn't Rolf Harris Just ****-off and die"..it's one of the funniest things I ever heard. Nobody in the States even remembers anymore the guy who did "Tie Me Kangaroo Down, Sport" so when you said you'd  like to see him do a Beatles cover, I nearly fell over ..haha good one.

a login & password...for what?  to get these songs that you posted?  I didn't.  Are you referring to getting other songs from their website or someplace else?

World Party did a sweet version of "Man We Was Lonely" from the McCartney tribute album.

Every single Beatles remake i've never really been a fan of because i've never liked new, nowadays music. and when i listen to The Beatles, i listen to those beautiful, unique , 60s voices, not some new band i've never heard of
