You could include Frank Zappa & The Mothers Of Invention.

I went through a T Rex phase last year as i've never listened to them before, the songs
were just so great & Bolan was a fantastic songwriter. & it'll be 30 years next month since he
was sadly killed.  

What about the Doors? I mean, even their worst was still pretty damn good. And I'd say the Band was pretty consistent throughout even though most people aren't familiar with their music. Some others I'm not sure about because I don't know all their stuff: Cream, Kinks? Someone will know better.

How about AC/DC?

One of the best bands i ever seen live , there early albums are brilliant , but seem to lose it in the 80s .

Prefab Sprout are another band i think who have released lots of great albums!

the smiths, blur, the doves, some bands of recent years that every album was great  the red hot chilis apart from pre mothers milk
