Paul McCartney is to release a new download only 6-track live EP on August 21 called The iTunes Festival EP.

Paul recorded 'Coming Up Only', 'Mama Knows', 'That Was Me', 'Jet', 'Nod Your Head' and 'House of Wax' for the iTunes Festival at London’s ICA back in July.

Other artists who have – or are going to release EP's from the festival are Stereophonics, Travis, Editors, Mika, Nine Black Alps and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.

What happens at an iTunes festival? Everbody stands around an iPod, smoking joints and drinking warm beer? Or do they encode all the music to mp3 before it comes out of the PA?
