I never really watched Sesame Street. It's more for kids, and I never had any. However, The Muppets was big in our house. Gonzo was always one of my favourites.
Gonzo The Great
I just want you to reassure him - talk to him, make him see the error of his ways. Then I'll hit him.
I have watched both Sesame street (in Arabic too!) and the Muppets, but man do i remember them.... no. I remember from S st is Elmo was not bad and from the Muppets- miss piggy (her name is I think)... she wasnt bad either...

Oscar scares me, Big Bird scares me, Count von Count I hold responsible for my hatred of mathematics. Bert and Ernie are my step-cousins. That was my first idea of "They ain't speaking right", "That place ain't here" (the traffic lights twigged it) and it's full of funny words like "sidewalk". Up until I was 5 I thought Black people only existed in Sesame Street and McDonalds, they were the only two places where I noticed Black people.
Anyways, I generally loved my Channel Four 6am horror show. Jim Henson, thankyou.
What, nobody likes Kermit? He WAS the star of the show after all. I love his singing, His rendition of It's Not Easy Being Green is genius. Although Ernie doing Rubber Ducky isn't half bad either.
BTW, did you all know that The Count has the same birthday as one of the fabs? Tell me Jim Henson wasn't one of the coolest guys ever.
