There seem to be much hatred for the two women. Do we equate them in terms of dislike and/or meaness?

Personaly I dislike both (even though I know more about Yoko's doings than those of Heather).

I wouldn't have thought that they came into contact with each other. I think Heather is the devil, but I have nothing against Yoko, apart from her commercialisation of John's image over the last few years. But I'm not even really bothered about that. Maybe she and Macca's 'bonding' over the last couple of years has instilled a new spirit of camaraderie in her!

Any dislike I have for the actions of these women I share with their men.
Against all advise John behaved like an idiot with Yoko. If she treated him bad then he let her. Her post-John behaviour has been very corporate and manipulative - but The McCartney Eye has put that into a bit of perspective.
And Macca got involved with Heather with undue haste (again against all advise.) It seems he married someone he didn't really know.
I'm sure everyone over 30 has a friend who've they've lost to a bad relationship. I myself married someone I didn't really know and suffered the consequences. I have only myself to blame.
I wouldn't invite either of these two around for dinner. But I hesitate to paint them too darkly because they're only half the story.
John and Paul screwed up. As do we all.

I don't really like Yoko, but I don't absolutely hate her. It ticked me off when she would be in the recording studio and telling them how to do things. Linda would be in the recording studio too, occasionally, but she was just in the background, quietly taking a few pictures. But Yoko's presence was very bold. I think she also had a huge impact on John becoming a bit loonier. (Like the Two Virgins thing)

But hey, they loved each other, and as long as they loved each other that's fine.

But, Heather? I really, really, really dislike her, to the max. She's such a fake, I think she was caught wearing a fur coat after their divorce. She also said that Paul abused her and pushed her down in the shower and all that crap. Whatever, I don't even know Paul personally and I know that he would never do that. He's a sweet person. She was just after his fame and money.

So Paul, please learn from your mistakes and don't go back to her. Take time to find someone who's right for you, you deserve it.

Sorry, but how do you know that?
I could drag up loads of quotes that say Paul is cold, distant, and domineering

That's extremely unlikely, unless she wears her false leg in the shower!

Paul himself says he was not "cute" in real life. I was just reading about his and Linda's last couple of years in Badman's book. He did some painful self-examination after her death, and felt some regret. This is despite the fact that I'm certain he really loved Linda and vice-versa. No one can be sweet and loving all the time. Linda says Paul liked to argue. He was also attentive and took care to do the "special" things, like bring her flowers. The deal was, it seemed their relationship worked for them, for the most part, which is really the only important consideration.

It's hard for me to figure out what happened to attract Paul to Heather. Part of it might be that Paul just loves women, and wanted to have an attractive woman in his life. Also, people who have had a good marriage are sometimes under the naive assumption that the next one will be good, too, without being able to appreciate that each situation is different. And Paul is the eternal optimist. So I think he got onto Heather partly through wishful thinking and partly through rebound, and partly by just being human and flattered by her attention. (And no, I don't think H was flattered by Paul's attention. Call me poisoned by the press, but I think when Sir Paul expressed interest, she saw dollar signs, and did her best to reel him in.)

Well, Yoko is not exactly my cup of tea, but I don't blame her solely for the breakup of The Beatles.  John changed completely when he began to date her,  he made inimaginable things with her, like that two virgins record and that bed in interview.  He lost interest about the band.... everything was about Yoko.

But Heather Mills is a gold digger for me.  She's using her 15 minutes of fame to promote herself.  I believe that in the beginning she felt fascinated by the fact that someone like Paul Mc Cartney felt attracted to her and she took advantage of it.  For Sir Macca, well I guess he felt proud of having a younger attractive woman at his side.

The Beatles Off The Record Volume 2: The Dream Is Over - Keith Badman

The "cute" reference is from October 2, 1997. Paul is speaking about Many Years From Now, his official biography. "I got this reputation of being the balladeer, the one who's into love. I was called 'The Cute One'. Well, I can tell you that when I went home I wasn't cute at all." (and goes on talking about John.)

On Friday, April 17, 1998, Paul talks about losing Linda. It's a very moving article. This tiny little extract simply tells me a little bit about what I think his arguing style was, particularly as Linda said earlier she hated arguing. He's referring to counseling he had, which was unusual in England at the time, but as his wife had been American and he knew some of these people, he thought he'd give it a whirl.

"It was mainly to get rid of some of my guilt. When anyone you love this much dies, one of the first things is that you wish you could have been perfect for every minute of every day. But nobody is like that. I would say to Linda if we were arguing, "Look, I'm not Jesus Christ, you know. I'm not a saint. I'm just some normal man. I'll try to do something about it but that's who I am, that's who you're married to." So I had quite a bit of guilt and probably still have. You remember arguments and when you're married you don't remember them quite so much. You just get on with the next day and as long as you don't have too many arguments and they're not too bad, you figure that it evens itself out. But when someone dies, you only remember the arguments in the first couple of weeks and the moments when I wasn't as nice as I would have wanted to be. So I needed counseling with that and I found it really helpful."

Dark Phoenyx, I agree with you about Heather and John. I actually feel Yoko had less to do with the breakup of the Beatles than the Beatles did. Both John and George wanted out; it was only a matter of time.

I think Mills is a very unhappy women something about her is just not right and Paul's money when she gets her hands on it won't improve matters for her i don't think ?
Some people never find happieness during their life i think Mills is one of them people , it's sad for her but boy will she be rich in her misery.
I don't think Yoko on the other had is a unhappy women , she as a heart and John saw that and loved her for it , she would'nt have been my choice , but then im not John

I never thought I would say this maybe 4 years ago. I like Yoko much better than Heather Mills...the more I hear about her the less I like.
