I'm trying to compile a disc of their hardest, rockin'-est material.  This is what I got so far...any opinions welcomed.

01: Helter Skelter (the #1 hardest song - by them, or by anybody IMO)
02: Everybody's Got Something To Hide Except Me and my Monkey
03: Good Morning Good Morning
04: Back in the USSR
05: Birthday
06: A Hard Day's Night
07: Help!
08: She Said She Said
09: I'm Happy Just to Dance With You
10: Any Time At All
11: Run For Your Life
12: I Saw Her Standing There
13: Come Together
14: Day Tripper
15: Get Back
16: Twist and Shout
17: Doctor Robert
18: Revolution
19: Can't Buy Me Love
20: Taxman
21: Oh! Darling
22: Roll Over Beethoven

Any others?

I'd only include these, from your list:

Helter Skelter
Birthday
Come Together
Revolution

I just want you to reassure him - talk to him, make him see the error of his ways. Then I'll hit him.

Agree Bluemeanie it's a much sorter list , maybe i would only have Helter Skelter and Revolution as hardest songs ?

I wouldn't disagree. I was trying not to be too 'hard' on Buttmunker!

I just don't think it was their strong forte to do real hard songs , good Rocker's yes  and Buttmunker's  list as plenty of them

Very true. Really, only Helter Skelter can be called 'hard'. And that is really stretching it I think. It may, or may not have influenced heavy metal, but 'hard' is Tool, and Helmet, as far as I'm concerned.

Let me rephrase, then.  How about "heavy," as in a heavy feeling, or vibe?  That's more along the lines of what I meant.

At one point, Macca was going to have compilations released - as themes.  One would be 'heavy' (I think that was his word), and the other would be the ballads.

Lucille
Long Tall Sally
Oh My Soul
Kansas City
Clarabella

All sung by Paul, #s 1, 3, and 5 on "Beatles at the BBC". All Little Richard, except I think Clarabella maybe.
Completely awesome!!

I love John,
I love Paul,
And George and Ringo,
I love them all!

In any case - all are completely awesome!!
