I always liked George Harrison's Only A Northern Song, but once I heard the version on "Anthology II," that became my favorite over the studio release.

Same with You Know My Name (Look Up The Number) - the demo version on Anthology II is much more fun than the version on "Past Masters."

Too polished to be a "demo," but I prefer the early take of I'm Looking Through You.  Very bluesy with great guitar solos sounding a bit like The Yardbirds.

There aren't many actual demo's. George's acoustic version of While My Guitar Gently Weeps is wonderful. But it's not really a demo.

I just want you to reassure him - talk to him, make him see the error of his ways. Then I'll hit him.

yes it is off of the anthology 2 is better than the past masters version, i prefer that it starts out with just johns voice and theres something about his voice in that song, why he felt the need to double track his voice i don't know, in this track it is possibly the sweetest ive ever heard it from him, then George and Paul  join him in the next verse and there harmonizing for me is as good as anything the beach boys ever produced.

im a sucker for yes it is, its not my normal choice of song but it is absolutely simple and amazing

I remember hearing "Yes It Is" on Beatles IV for the first time in 1965 when the Capitol album came out--one of john's most persuasive ballads.

Yes!  Early reggae/ska.  Paul pays tribute to Desmond Dekker (The Israelites), possibly reggae's first superstar.

I love the demo (take 1) of Strawberry Fields Forever off Anthology 2 to bits!!!
may prefer it better than the actual record but i'm really putting myself on the
line saying that. The guitar ending on it is so beautiful as well!

I prefer the version on Anthology 2 of Across The Universe.  That's the version I put in my Beatles mix.  The studio version is just...too...slow

I wish there was an existing demo of John doing an acoustic demo of Across The Universe.
that would sound great!

I'm crazy for the Anthology version of 'I'm Looking Through You'. What a departure from the official release.
