Nice of him to put a couple of his own songs in there!

I just want you to reassure him - talk to him, make him see the error of his ways. Then I'll hit him.

Fred Astaire!

Not such a shock Bobber , i think he had this on his desert island disc , but he`s always said his favorite Lennon song was Beautiful boy .

Didn't he include one of his own songs in his Desert Island Discs?

Why the suprise at Radiohead. They have had massive commercial and critical success on both sides of the atlantic. (a rare feat these days) They are credited with inspiring a whole generationof post Brit bands. Several of their albums, especially OK Computer regularly make the  essential albums lists:
From Wiki:
OK Computer has been one of the most widely acclaimed albums of the 1990s,[6] appearing in many critics' lists and audience polls. Examples:

It was on the shortlist for the 1997 Mercury Music Prize.
In 1998, it was number 1 in Q magazine's list of greatest albums of all time as voted by readers. It later appeared atop another such list in the magazine in 2006.[citation needed]
In 2001, the TV network VH1 placed it at number 94 in a list of greatest albums.[22]
In 2003, NME named it the 16th greatest album of all time.[22]
In 2003, Pitchfork Media placed it at number 1 in a list of Top 100 Albums of the 1990s.[23]
In 2003, the album was ranked number 162 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.
In 2005, it was voted number 1 in a poll of 100 Greatest Albums conducted by the UK's Channel 4.[24]
In 2005, it was selected by Spin Magazine as the number one album of the past 20 years.[25]
In 2006, it was chosen by TIME Magazine as one of the 100 best albums of all time.[26]
In 2006, it was voted third in a list of Australia's favourite albums in a national poll run by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.[27]

The follow up Kid A:
Despite the lack of consensus, by the end of 2000 the album was appearing frequently in critics' top ten lists[75] as praise for Radiohead's experimentation appeared to outweigh reservations.[13] In 2001, Kid A received a Grammy nomination for Album of the Year, and won Best Alternative Album and Best Engineered Album.  In 2005, two popular indie music publications, Pitchfork Media[76] and Stylus Magazine,[77] each separately named Kid A the best album of the past five years.
