had to queue for 19 hours though, only three of us spent the whole night on the street outside the place in cold cold weather! we still didn't end up at the front cause they gave numbers to people to come back the next day, but worth the queueing! met some great people! didn't see our very own "the end" though!

Nice account!!

by the pictures you posted further down, it looks like you were a few lines behind where i was stood! you must have been quite a way back in the queue by 1pm?!

and i really think its funny how the rumour has spread round all these forums about japanese people coming the night before and getting turned away! i know the guys who are japense that people are probably talking about and i pretty much beleive they did not come from japan! also, it was a huge group of 74 people it must have been, that showed up during the day on wednesday and got given ticket numbers to avoid them queueing, which is why the "japanese" guy was first in queue! As i've said, only three of us queued over night and didn't get turned away, as there was no one there to give us numbers!   but at 6am we got given the final numbers and then joined the people at 9 when they came back! just found it funny how on the macca board and other places people got the impression that people travelled from japan and others were getting turned away, neither of which are true i beleive!

o and i see you said about seeing macca arrvie for the gig, some americans around us said that they saw him go in, he didn't wave to anyone apprently!

and yes, we were stood with a lovly lady named valerie who was an orginal apple scruff who used to vanderlise pauls home and stuff! haha she was great!

some people on the official macca site (i'm not a member, but i checked it out for this), were talking of two men in suits wearing white gloves and talking of how it was tradition to do so, they were also with us all day in queue, u may have seen them bouncing back and forth at the front, on the show! they were so funny, kept us entertained during the show, they just wanted to look stylish for the proms and went to the one the night before, i don't think it was down to any tradition....

haha, oo i read that on the macca site too about you making that comment about the guy saying f*cking mcCartney! what a great comment back!

another funny thing is, the two guys in suits convinced the roundhouse people to allow the first wave of fans to end with us! so we were first in! classic!

what a great report u gave! shame i didn't meet up with you there, you sound so enthuastic, we would get on well i think!
£200 for a ticket! dedication that is! I wouldn't even pay £90 for one at an earlier camden gig! but lucky i didn't, someone else did and it was a poor photocopied one, she got refused streight away!

heres my report, it might not all make sense as i talk of lucy and corinne alot, they are the people i went with! enjoy!

Well first off, i was nearly late of course heading down to the train station to meet Corinne (OBC), and we caught the train to London, getting all the more excited on the way there. We met Lucy at the station with big greetings and headed from there back to Lucy’s place to collect the gear for the long night ahead. We had a laugh there, with Lucy and Corinne bullying me all the time as i sat and watched them force things in a bag. Haha,
Lucy’s husband was already at the roundhouse checking out the place to see what was happening, if anyone had already arrived to start queuing. We decided at about 11:30 or so to head down there and check it out and start our camp. We walked past the electric ballroom where Paul done his last Camden gig where I last met Luce. When we got to the roundhouse the last show where Sean Lennon had played were coming out, so we sat down on a wall there and kept a watch in case Sean appeared and we could snap a pic. But it started to die down eventually. However some people were still there and kept looking at us, so we thought they might have been fans as well waiting.
In the end they came over to us and were American and told us not to bother queuing as they had been given tickets during the day so they didn’t have to queue over night and would be able to come back first thing in the morning and have their place secure. We weren’t too happy with them really, and didn’t want to just leave and take their word for anything. So they cleared off after a funny guy from Newcastle came over and started telling us rude jokes and was quite funny in the end, was drunk and entertained us.
So from this point on, it was just me, Lucy and Corinne on the street for the next five hours, although at different times we had people walk past and ask what we were doing with reply’s such as “Good Luck”. Also having a man with blood down his face running over wanting money for “help”, as if we were going to. After a very cold night, which i complained about throughout just to annoy the other two! Haha, none of us got any sleep really, maybe drifting for a matter of minutes but nothing more. We chatted throughout the night and kept a watch on things going on around, by 5am a taxi pulled up and a lady came out who had come from Poland called Kate. She has met Paul and had many a good Paul experience herself in the past, so she camped with us and stayed with us through the rest of our stay in London. At 6am a sercurirty guy for the first time came out and gave the 4 of us the final numbers handed out, being 74-78. At about what 7 maybe, all the people who had collected their numbers from the previous day came back ready to collect their wristbands at 9am. We also met up again with people who Lucy had met at the Camden gig before, and we moved from our wall over to the doors ready.
When the people forming us into lines got there, we got forced back to about 40 people down the line, as some of the people with numbers didn’t show. By this time, many had formed behind us. We had to wait quite a long time to collect our wristbands, as they served one person at a time. But during this time we met up with another lady called Valerie After collecting our wristbands, we quickly joined the queue set up with barriers, and prepared for the long wait ahead in the cold and slightly wet weather. We chatted with two guys one of who was called Adam, both dressed in suits, with bow ties and white gloves, which was so funny, they had been to the show the night before and were seen on TV quite alot for those who watched, bouncing back and forth at the front. While waiting in queue a few news crew people showed up and photographers, taken pictures and filming the crowd from so many angles. Also some school kids learning about interviews and using the camera equipment asking weird beatle questions like “What is your view on Paul not wearing shoes on the Abbey Road front cover?.”
The day seemed to go by slowly as we were so excited about Macca, and just wanted the hours to pass. At one point Lucy told us that Wicks went past to go inside, I didn’t notice as he was wearing a hood, trying not to draw attention to himself and not be seen. Some people had gone round back and said that Macca had gone in but not given a wave to them, also Corinne went round back with a woman who was an original apple scruff and she watched as the woman managed to convince the guy to let her into the carpark and she could have walked straight on in. The hours kept passing by as it got dark and the queue went all the way round the corner and up the hill as more fans arrived. At one stage I got a text from someone i had met at the Paul signing and went round the corner to meet her in queue and had a chat which was nice. In the afternoon, probably around 3pm, Ell who we met at the signing also showed up with her boyfriend, so said hello to her again as she joined the queue. At one stage Lucy also going off to the pub (no surprise) lol, only joking.
We all moved forward in the queue when it came within an hour of going in, the two guys in suits behind convinced the lady directing people when going in to make the first wave end with them, so we would all go straight in. As we went in everyone started to dash for the stairs before they were all stopped and told to move back 2 steps. After about 10 minutes of this, they let people throw slowly before everyone at the top of the steps ran for the front. Lucy got to the barrier, and me and Corinne were on the other side about third row with a good view still. Luckily away from certain people we didn’t want to be around. A funny guy behind us who did turn out to be cool in the end was chatting to us during the gig and had a laugh with Corinne.

Right well, i shall say the show from my point of view of it,
When Paul went into Magical Mystery Tour i was quite shocked as i expected Jet or one of the normal ones he opened the other gigs with, so it was pleasing to hear, a nice opener from Paul, got me excited of course.
Even before Paul came on the crowd were forcing us all forward and i had to lean back into people pushing with my feet to stop being crushed into the front row, it was annoying but when Paul came on i forgot all about it.
Flaming Pie isn’t one of my favourites, but i was happy to hear anything of Paul’s live, haha
Got to Get You Into My Life, well this was amazing, great feeling for this song, apparently Paul got the lyrics wrong and made a funny face which Corinne and Lucy pointed out to me on the TV after.
As soon as Paul picked up his mandolin, obviously everyone knew dance tonight was coming, which was just great to hear. Paul sure can whistle well live.
Only Mama knows was grand, hearing one of his new album again, very good rocker live.
As he walked over to the piano for his first piano song he started playing C Moon and i filmed the very start, wondered what he would do. I do love this song, a good wings number.

He followed this with The Long And Winding Road, well, i just couldn’t sing, i had to listen throughout this one, i couldn’t believe i was hearing it live in front of me, although i only saw the top of Pauls noggin at the piano.
I filmed a long intro before I’ll Follow The Sun, when Paul told his typical story of how he reads signs in the audience and so finds it hard to remember his chords and lyrics while reading things like “My mum saw you at Shea Stadium”. Haha, it was good to hear him telling it none the less. Of course he repeated the end part of the song which is always good.
Another good one I didn’t expect was That Was Me of his new album, as much as i couldn’t remembered the lyrics, it was a really good one for him to play, went in well.
When he got ready to play here today and said he wrote it for his dear friend John and all, i think everyone was just in anticipation for the song. When he sang “I love you” man it was hard hitting, Corinne got emotional during it which was sweet . I don’t think many sung along during it, just wanted to take it in.
When he started playing Blackbird i was so happy, i love the song and it was one of the ones i was waiting for, a highlight of the evening for me, I’m glad he played it, couldn’t have gone without it.
Although, when he strummed the first chord of calico skies to check it was in tune, i grabbed my camera phone straight away, my favourite song of all time, i was not about to miss it, the string orchestra behind also joined in for this one as they did for Only Mama Knows as well. Simply speechless i was.
Following this was Eleanor Rigby, again with the string orchestra or whatever they were, which was really good, it’s great when you can tell what songs he is about to play, when he started the guitar for Eleanor Rigby by counting in basically, i just knew what was coming.
Band On the run was another of the songs i didn’t expect to be played, i must say, i preferred hearing it to Jet. Band on the run had that feeling behind it, with everyone singing along word for word.
Of course the plane at the start of Back In The USSR led everyone straight into the song, i also think Macca looked at me and smiled when i was singing along in this one, it sure looked like he did.
One song Corinne was looking forward to hearing live was House Of Wax, which was pretty damn good live, had a feeling, although not my favourite by a long shot.
I’ve got a feeling has that great feeling indeed, Macca playing his electric guitar, a real rocker, everyone hands in the air, what’s not to love about this number.
The guy behind us was waiting all night to hope he played Live and let die, which he did, the guy got emotional, what a lad, the fireworks went off and everyone dancing around.
Hey Jude was the next song played, with typical macca style of letting the audience sing as well. A treat to hear live.
Again, like with the long and winding road, hearing Let It Be just made me freeze and listen, i couldn’t believe i was hearing it live and was so pleased. This was when he came back on for the encore.
Lady Madonna followed, another classic, how to sing along to this one.
What i expected and i assume most others, was going to be his last was I saw Her Standing There, which got everyone jumping and singing like crazy, an early beatle rock song which Macca still can do with great force today, i have never seen him move so well and look so good.
After he caught things like flowers and a note from audience members he left the stage with the band, i did expect it to be over, but back he came for another, which was pleasing. He went into Get Back to wrap things up, left the audience on a high.
Following the gig, Kate, Corinne and me took some pics in the place and we said goodbye to some people we got to know there and I knew from previous times. On the way out they were giving people tickets from the gig which we failed to get; Although Lucy nabbed the last one i think. But Elle managed to pick up a few of them and gave me one which was lovely. We went outside after the gig and found Lucy again where she bought a beatle T-shirt. We also apparently walked past the Kaisercheifs outside as well, I don’t think any of us realised, haha. Too caught up in Macca.
We went to a pub down the road and sat to discuss everything, with Elle and her boyfriend, Lucy and Husband, Corinne, Me, Kate and Karen and people joined us aswell. We had a good chat and laugh in there for a bit, even the guy that works at the Beatle shop in Liverpool was in there.
As Corinne and I had to get the train back, we came out and headed back to Lucy’s where we caught the start of the show on TV, and saw Lucy and her “beak”, haha. We then walked back to Waterloo and said our goodbye’s and caught the train back. After 40 hours without sleep, both Corinne and I struggled to stay awake so we wouldn’t miss our stop, even mid convocation I feel asleep, lol.
In the end the whole thing was worth it and I was so pleased we all got the chance to see him live together, thankyou for the chance to go Lucy and Corinne, what an amazing time it was, cold, but amazing.

Glad you guys had a good time, but I dont think i'll be going again if he comes around again. I'm just fed up with the setlist. It would have to change drastically for me to change my mind.

he looked great wearing that suit! it worked well!

and as far as the set list goes, i wouldn't mind if macca played the same set list 100 times in a row, to have the chance to be there, I would go through the same freezing cold nights each time just to see him live!

I'm currently uploading the Roundhouse show. I have to go out, but I'll post the link later on this afternoon.

I just want you to reassure him - talk to him, make him see the error of his ways. Then I'll hit him.
