Oh, what a happy thought! But the Beatles catalog moves in mysterious ways.
When it moves at all. But I can't imagine the Apple/EMI guys passing up a chance to cash in with a couple of extra compilations. But maybe the example Paul's McCartney Collection offers some slight hope.
As to the question of which album...? Dr Ebbetts' UK singles collection. It's got the A and B sides of all The Beatles' singles in the original mixes, expertly transferred from 45s. It's The Beatles as they presented themselves on what was the major vinyl medium of the day.

White Album all the way. the funny thing about it is that it was one of the last Beatles alubms I got into. I got into the band through my dad's old LPs (Sgt. Pepper, Abbey Road, Yellow Submarine, and Let It Be). then I started buying some CDs like Rubber Soul, Revolver, and Magical Mystery Tour. and this was my Beatles collection for many years. remember, this is before the anthology and the internet so I didn't really know the Beatles' discography or anything like that...though I have heard my dad mention the name 'White Album' as well as the 'number 9' stuff before. so when I came across the White Album in a store one day....dude....I WAS SHOCKED! I looked at the back of the CD, and saw there were 30 songs on it ,most of which I have never heard of. Rocky Raccoon, Helter Skelter, Blackbird and Revolution were familiar titles, but the rest were all brand new to me. I still remember my first run through it. I flipped my lid half way through Back in the USSR...and I really haven't been the same since.
It's great...it sold...it's the bloody Beatles' White Album, shut up
Abbey Road.I cannot stop listening.Sounds very good and I like the drums and bass, powerful. The guitars are rock again and the orchestal arrangements suit perfectly. They have already learnt almost everything they need to know about recording in a studio to produce a great album.Mature masterpiece
And in the end the love you take is equal to the love you make
I like all their albums. But their weirder songs stick out in my mind the most. hah
Says something about me.
"Words are flowing out like endless rain into a paper cup, They slither while they pass, they slip away across the universe. Pools of sorrow waves of joy are drifting through my opened mind, Possessing and caressing me." "About a lucky man who made the grade" "I'm coming down fast but I'm miles above you."

For me, back in 1975-76 when I first discoved the Beatles, it has to be the collection, "The Beatles 1962-1966". That was my first ever Beatles record and I wore it out on my little record player. Now............I just LOVE "LOVE" cd. To me, it's the Beatles brought back "live and well" in the 21st century..........what they would sound like now........
