Hi all, Im new here and just wanted to add to the details of this subject. I recently visited Ryde on the Isle of Wight, whilst there I decided to check out the possible location(if it still existed)of the pub where John and Paul once played at as the "Nerk Twins", I asked about it first at a local music store and the guy in the store, who was around 60 anyway had no idea about it, despite his local knowledge of the music on the isle of wight, however he did tell me that, Paul McCartneys "relative" did once own a pub on Union street called the "Bow Bells", so off I went down the street looking for the pub, on the way I stopped at another shop, the lady in there told me that she used to frequent the pub in the late seventies, however she too had no idea about any previouis visit form John and paul, she however tell me that the pub was now renamed the "liquid Lounge" as was in fact now refurbished as a sportsbar, off I trundled and low and behold there it was! I entered the bar and looked around the structure was completelt renovated, however the originL OAK beams were treated and left in tact, the outside hadnt changed form the time when John and Paul visisted, it was all quite fascinating and a good place to let the imagination run wild for a bit, Im sure they had a good time there, just up the road a ciouple of doors away was an old naval social club that hadnt changed  at all!I could imagine John and paul sat at the bar getting a bit legless before or after the gig, it was quite strange really but an illuninating place to be for sure! You felt the presence of something!!

Welcome. Great story. I know that An Apple Beatle (who's living on IOW) once asked for this. Or was that about Ticket To Ryde/Ride? Can't remember, I have to search for that.

Welcome johnpauljim. Nice story.

I just want you to reassure him - talk to him, make him see the error of his ways. Then I'll hit him.
