What do you think it will be the next Beatles international release? A greatest-hits album? A mashup album? An alternative album? A songtrack album? A rarities album? I really don't know, Apple amazes me every time. They really have good ideas capitalizing with the Beatles catalog!

I would like to see Live At The Hollywood Bowl and The Love Songs album released on CD . Both appeared in 1977 and are long overdue CD release ?

Considering the infrequency of releases, and the fact that we are still awaiting good quality remasters, why would you want your time waisted with 'Love Songs'? Couldn't you just make yourself a compilation?
Hollywood Bowl, on the other hand would be good. Btw, if you hotfoot it over to the bootleg forum you can download (in lossless format) the Dr. Ebbetts Live At The Hollywood Bowl. The best quality version of that album I've ever heard.
Ive both albums on vinyl , so i would like them on CD , I think the Love Songs album would also sell well ? Agree about the remasters im going to be 64 by the time they arrive Thanks for the link.
I don't know what lossless is, but it sounded like something I couldn't play on my PC. Help? (Thanks.)
All you've got to do is choose love. That's how I live it now. I learned a long time ago, I can feed the birds in my garden. I can't feed them all. -- Ringo Starr, Rolling Stone magazine, May 2007

Basically, not bloody mp3! The music will sound as it does on the CD. The files are much larger, but it's worth it. Hollywood Bowl is about 235mb. Once you've downloaded them you need to convert them to AIIF (mac), or WAV (PC). You can then burn them to a CD, or play them on your computer.
I just want you to reassure him - talk to him, make him see the error of his ways. Then I'll hit him.
I propose "The Ringo Album." Somebody come up with a snappy title. Where Ringo does the vocals on some classics he didn't sing--Like "Yesterday" "Something" "I Am the Walrus." If it's not in the vaults, Rings can just go in an do some overdubs. Probably take an afternoon.
Or even better. Paul going back and rerecording all the Beatles hits with him playing every instrument and doing all the harmonies.

Bookmark this page, AZ. One day, we're probably going to see this.
How about Go-Ring-Go! for the Ringo Album?
Thank you for the help, BlueMeanie! 235 MB stops my heart (or at least my dial-up connection). But someday I too will join the speedy internet bandwagon, and then watch out! Cheers.

"Let It Be - Naked" was horrible. They took the life out of the music, made it sterile.
Anyway, I'd love a CD with just bloopers - a 60 minute gag reel.
Hey, I'd love to hear the entire interviews on CD. When they landed in America, and other interviews. Present the entire "Jesus is bigger than the Beatles."
It would be great if the BBC made a 10 part drama of The Beatles storey warts and all , im sure their are four young actors out there who could do the project justice ?

Just - please - not Mike Meyers.

That's a fantastic idea!! But I don't see Paul doing that... That would be really weird. He only try re-recording 3 or 4 Beatle songs from Give My Regards, songs that he wrote. Just imagine him re-recording the entire Beatle singles catalog, singing John songs!

I liked Let It Be...Naked a lot better then Let It Be...I hated what Spector did to LIB but maybe that's because I am a huge McCartney fan so therefore I'm slightly biased
"Wings IV introduced Jimmy McCulloch, a spunky lead guitarist with grit, able to spur Paul on unlike any previous soloist. His debut track, the magnificent single `Junior's Farm', stands as one of Wings' finest emotional and technical releases."
"Few people on this planet know as much about Jimmy's musical history than you."
"I'm Joe English and I'm from Glasgow, Scotland." xD

What exactly is Spector meant to have done that is so awful? The Beatles were uninterested in it. Glynn John's failed misserably to put it together (3 times). I think Spector did well to make a reasonably well balanced album out of it. He came up with a harder version of Let It Be, and did some clever tape splicing to get a bit of studio chat in there. So he put strings on LAWR, maybe if Paul hadn't lost interest in the project it wouldn't have happened.
I just want you to reassure him - talk to him, make him see the error of his ways. Then I'll hit him.
The strings & female choir on LAWR grinds my gears but you bring up a good point about Paul losing interest in the project..touche.

I really liked what they did with the Beatles LOVE album, and the highlights for me are the new versions of "Strawberry Fields Forever" and "While My Guitar Gently Weeps"...perhaps it's because they sound the most different from the originals? The interesting thing about these versions is that they sound like the versions included on the Anthology 2 and 3 sets (perhaps they are the same takes...I don't know). But what I do know is that I like what they did with them, as it made these delicious, yet very raw recordings into something polished and absolutely beautiful. This got me thinking...what else could they do using this same idea?
How about polishing up all of those songs they decided never to put on albums? Some songs have more potential than others ("You'll Know What to Do," "Come and Get It"), while others may need a lot of work before becoming something more listenable ("What's the New Mary Jane"). Also, what about the original version of "Not Guilty"? In my opinion, it is a lot better than what Harrison ended up re-recording himself for his 1979 self-titled album, and makes me sad to think of how good it could have sounded had it been released by the Beatles on a studio album. "Come and Get It" is about as polished as you're gonna get for unreleased Beatles songs, but this is so close to the version that Badfinger made famous (from what I've heard, Paul basically gave them the demo and [paraphrased] said "do this exactly and you'll have a hit"). Perhaps an interesting remix would be cool? And what about songs like "Goodbye" and "Bad to Me" that got the shaft for Anthology? Billy Kramer's version of "Bad to Me" is a great song, and it's really too bad the Beatles never bothered to record it (the Lennon demo is pretty terrible quality as it is).
Also, the technology is a lot better these days where they could possibly go back and remaster the '90s singles "Free as a Bird" and "Real Love" so that they don't sound like John's vocals were recorded from across the street. And if you haven't yet heard the fan remix of Lennon's "Now and Then," which includes parts of other Beatles songs, check out the YouTube video:
It gives me a restored hope that a third reunion single is very possible (even with the passing of George), and that it could sound awesome.
Another album that I've always thought would be awesome would be more Lennon Dakota demos re-worked by the Beatles ("Across the River" is such an awesome song...check it out)
PROPOSITION 2: PEACE ON EARTH
Very unlikely, but here is a way of finally releasing the Beatles Christmas Album in a way that won't completely turn off casual fans: include the solo holiday songs.
The recorded Christmas messages the boys put out to their fan clubs aren't exactly something a lot of listeners will be putting on each year. Quite frankly, as a Beatles fan, I'm a little embarrassed when some of them come up on my iPod speakers, if I have other people in the room. However, they really are quite funny. Beatles lovers looking for a good collection of Christmas music to put alongside an Elvis Christmas album will be disappointed by The Beatles' Christmas Album, as there is barely anything to sing along to. So, why not alternate between solo studio recordings on the theme of Christmas and peace on earth, and the Christmas messages?
1. Happy Xmas (War Is Over) - John Lennon 2. The Beatles' Christmas Record (1963) 3. Pipes of Peace - Paul McCartney 4. Another Beatles' Christmas Record (1964) 5. Ding Dong, Ding Dong - George Harrison 6. The Beatles' Third Christmas Record (1965) 7. Come On Christmas, Christmas Come On - Ringo Starr 8. The Beatles' Fourth Christmas Record (1966) 9. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reggae - Paul McCartney 10. Give Me Love (Give Me Peace On Earth) - George Harrison 11. Christmas Time is Here Again! (1967) 12. The Little Drummer Boy - Ringo Starr 13. The Beatles' 1968 Christmas Record (196 14. Wonderful Christmastime - Paul McCartney 15. The Beatles' Seventh Christmas Record (1969) 16. Christmas Time (Is Here Again) (Single Edit) 17. Give Peace a Chance - John Lennon
The songs I have chosen for Ringo could easily be switched up. His version of "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" is fun, but it might be weird to have both his and Paul's versions of the song. I thought a lot of listeners might want to hear some familiar songs, and "The Little Drummer Boy" seems appropriate, however, I did want to include original songs, which is why I went with "Come On Christmas, Christmas Come On"... however, the title track to his Christmas album, "I Wanna Be Santa Claus" or "The Christmas Dance" could also work. His version of "Winter Wonderland" might also be a better choice, but I didn't want two covers by Ringo in there.
Nice ideas, particularly the Christmas album. That could work quite well.
I also think Apple should consider a "Songs Lennon and McCartney gave away" album (it might need a snappier title). Bad To Me, Do You Want To Know A Secret, I Call Your Name, Step Inside Love, Word Without Love, Woman (McCartney/Peter and Gordon) etc. There are loads of them. A release of the cover versions would be interesting, and a possible bonus disc with the Lennon/McCartney demos or Beatles studio versions would be cool.

I'd like to see a good compilation of some of the artists signed to Apple in the late sixties: James Taylor, Mary Hopkin, Badfinger, etc. Might be copyright problems by now, though.
