I'm wanting to get a haircut in the style of Paul in from '64-'66 ish. How do I ask for that type of haircut? Everytime I've asked they mess up or look at me blankly not having the faintest idea what a Beatles haircut is (Oh, the ignorance!!). I'd appreciate the directions and how do manage it. . . I hope this is out of place but the hairstyle has really started to become "cool" again in my school and town. Also, any suggestions of how to brush, maintain it? Thanks again!!
In Penny Lane there is a barber showing photographs Of every head he's had the pleasure to know. And all the people that come and go Stop and say hello.
Bring that picture of Paul along with you and tell the barber you want it cut that way.

Go in with 4 of your best liked pics of Paul...I did.....hairdressers normally like to thin out hair but the moptop requires the volume to be left on top, to get the desired mop.
Good advice. I think Paul has the 'classic' mop top. Find the best pictures you can from the front, the side, and the back. No good just having the front because the hairdresser won't know what to do with the rest. There may still be the odd one around that used to cut like that in the 60's. You might be best advised to go somewhere trendy and expensive to start with, then just get it regularly trimmed at your local hairdressers. Good luck.
I just want you to reassure him - talk to him, make him see the error of his ways. Then I'll hit him.
I got George's haircut from the White Album two months ago, and when I first went in, it was at first awkward because A. I'm a girl and was expecting a few funny looks and B. I'd never been to the haircutting place before, but it turned out really well. I simply brought a few select pictures with me that really illustrated what parts of the cut that I wanted, and the stylist was very accepting and actually pretty excited about the challenge of getting it just right. I loved the result, and I'm so glad I went and asked no matter how weird I looked walking in with the MASSIVE Beatles Anthology book.
Just get a few pictures that you like and print 'em out - make them full pictures if possible, not ones that are cut off, and see if you can get ones from different angles. The haircut itself is really straightforward, so I can't foresee a real problem with it, but if for some reason you're uncertain, I would suggest going to a hairstylist who you either have gone to before and are comfortable with or someone who's a Beatles fan!
"Wings IV introduced Jimmy McCulloch, a spunky lead guitarist with grit, able to spur Paul on unlike any previous soloist. His debut track, the magnificent single `Junior's Farm', stands as one of Wings' finest emotional and technical releases."
"Few people on this planet know as much about Jimmy's musical history than you."
