I recognize some of the names he mentions in this song.  Some are family members, some, I think, are celebrities like the Everly Brothers (Phil and Don).

Who are the rest?  Real people in Macca's life, or made up names?

Uncle Ernie is Keith Moon. Martin Luther is probably John Lennon. Apart from The Everley's, the rest are relatives.

I just want you to reassure him - talk to him, make him see the error of his ways. Then I'll hit him.

Quoted from Wordno
Brother John was John Lennon and Brother Micheal was Micheal Mcgear(McCartney).

Brother John was John Eastman, Linda's brother. The other Beatles often referred to Lennon as 'Martin Luther Lennon'.

Well, this answers a lot of questions:

"Let 'em In" was the second single from the Wings' 1976 album Wings at the Speed of Sound. It was written and sung by Paul McCartney and reached the top 3 in both the US and UK.

The lyrics include references to a list of Paul's visiting friends and relatives: "Sister Suzy,[1] Brother John,[2] Martin Luther,[3] Phil and Don,[4] Brother Michael,[5] Auntie Gin,[6] Open the door and let 'em [them] in."[7]

In a later verse, "Brother Michael" is replaced by "Uncle Ernie."[8]

^ Supposedly a reference to Linda, who was "Suzy" in Suzy and the Red Stripes.
^ Linda's brother John Eastman.
^ Reference is uncertain; unlikely to refer to Martin Luther King, who died 8 years before this song was written. Paul (and the other Beatles) sometimes referred to John Lennon as "Martin Luther Lennon" (see this link), but it is unknown if this reference was intended to be Lennon. Support for this theory is bolstered when the order of the friends and relatives is taken into account: Martin Luther comes immediately after Brother John (with John being Lennon's first name as well was Linda's brother's.)
^ The Everly Brothers.
^ Paul's brother, also known as Mike McGear.
^ Paul's Auntie Gin (or Jin).
^ Paul McCartney & Wings Lyrics, LDload, accessed 2006-09-20.
^ Keith Moon, who played the role of Uncle Ernie in the movie of The Who's Tommy.
