For those of you who have small children, do you play Beatles music for them while in the car and/or in the house?

My son is four, and I've been playing all sorts of music to him - both old and new (gotta keep them "hip" to their own timeline), but I also have lately been exposing him almost exclusively to just Beatles music.  He can sing licks from "Dig A Pony" and "All Together Now," and at this very moment, he's asking me to show him the "Imagine" video.  He hums along with the piano riff.  I get a kick out of it.

My four year old son's favorite Beatles song is "Dont Pass me By."  He knows most of the words.  God bless Ringo.

mine will get exposed to them. you can count on it

"Wings IV introduced Jimmy McCulloch, a spunky lead guitarist with grit, able to spur Paul on unlike any previous soloist. His debut track, the magnificent single `Junior's Farm', stands as one of Wings' finest emotional and technical releases."

"Few people on this planet know as much about Jimmy's musical history than you."

Hello, I'm a new member, and had to answer to this one:
I have two children (girl 7 years old and boy 6 years old), and since I'm a completely beatle-crazed fan, I made it clear to myself, that I would not brainwash them to hear only Beatles, but I did however play Beatle-music for them in small doses.
And my daughter likes some songs to a degree, but she only rarely asks Beatles to be played.
But my son became quite obsessed with several songs without me forcing him to listen to them. Actually I was myself asking him not to play some songs over and over again. And he was also watching some songs from video and dvd quite the same way.
But of course this is great. Maybe it came to him through my genes(or however it is spelled).

It will be great if my kids (oh god!) will be Beatle fans but I dont know if it will work with them, You see, when my mom kept talking about the Beatles I wasn't very into them... not until i heard their music that is. I am not too sure if the next generation would want to be as Beatle fans as this generation... but thats another topic, innit?

Welcome to the board Big Pasi. Enjoy your stay.

I don't have any kids, but my cats seem to quite like Ringo! Which is funny, as one of them is called Ringo.

I'm 16, so no way do I have kids, but I have a feeling that one day my kids will be Beatle lovers!

But, I did get my 10 year old cousin into them last summer. I just played him a song, Day Tripper I think, which he liked, and then he asked to hear Yellow Submarine, and it just kept growing from there. I think he likes them a lot, but I don't know about obsessed.

Also, my 3 and a half year old niece likes 'em too! My whole room is decorated Beatles, so every time she comes over she asks me "Hey Julia, you wanna listen to the Beatles?" And then I showed her who was who just by first name for now, and now every time she's over she asks me to name each one in every single picture in my room, and god do I have a lot of pictures. One time Kansas City was playing and she's like "Is that Paul?" I'm like "Whoa, yeah, actually you're right!" She's very smart for her age. We watched Help! too, and I think she really liked it. She actually put it together and knew it was the Beatles in the movie. And before she went to bed she's like "Hey whata the Beatles doin?" I'm like "They're probably going to bed now, too." Haha, that's funny. Beatlemaniac in the making.

My kids of 5 and 3 years old like their songs. I play them I Saw Her Standing There in the car once in a while and they sing along in a strange language called English-more-or-less.

I know English people who speak that language!

My children will be Beatles fan. You betcha.

My kids are grown, but they grew up on Beatle music & still listen to it. Two of my four kids are still big fans.

I think exposing your children to the Beatles can be a great thing, but don't force it on them. My mom tried to do this with her favourite music and I know hate it. My father, on the other hand, wisely waited until I was curious and interested and could discover them for myself (around 12).

You're so vain, you probably think this post is about you.
