Do you think Paul should record McCartney III ? It's coming up to 30 years since the last instalment and although the first two are not is best albums , i quite like the homemade feel of both of them , and they gave Paul the room to mess about a bit with the recording tecnology of the day .
He could come up with something quite interesting , so should he make it and finish the trilogy ?

Absolutely not! The other two are nothing to write home about. It seems that whenever he gives himself complete freedom to do as he wants, play what he wants, and select the songs, it ends in disaster. I think even Paul may have learned his lesson. Anyway, why the trilogy? Was there ever a trilogy to finish?

I just want you to reassure him - talk to him, make him see the error of his ways. Then I'll hit him.

Thats what i want from Paul, BlueMeanie a bit of "Disaster " he's been way to safe of late   i mean he's given us propper albums for the last 10 years or more ?
I want something to get my jucies flowing again , so the more self indulgent the better and a McCartney III would do that im sure .
He could knock it out in a month and we might get three great songs like we did on 1&2 and a whole load of rubbish thrown in as well , we could talk McCartney III  for years
And he could release it as a trilogy  " The Good The Bad And The Ugly " ?

Sure, each of those albums has some good (and a couple of great) songs. But we would get an awful lot of mess as well. And the press would crucify him.

I don't think he should worry about the press BlueMeanie , most of them don't really like what he's done anyway ?
I just feel the time might be right for him to just lock himself in the studio and see what happens . I was playing McCartney II for the first time in ages this morning and i quite like the first five tracks " Nobody Knows " in particular i think as a lot of energy and  " Waterfalls " is lovely .
I know we would get a lot of mess on a new record , but three gems would make it worth while i think ?

I just want McCartney to release anything really, i am always happy with new macca stuff, i think what would be good is a Paul anthology of rare songs or takes in Pauls private collection!

Yeah! That would be great, McLennon! A Paul McCartney anthology. Maybe a box-set of 4 or 6 discs.

What I really want from Paul is a new album but maybe with a more contemporary sound, trying to sound more modern. I think that would be cool.

An anthology would be so great. There are some many Wings songs that he never released it could probably fill two or three albums. To name a few Best Friends, 1882, Did We meet somewhere before, Night Out, Don't You Wanna Dance, Ranchana(sp) rock, Thank You Darlin, Suicide, Rode All night and a lot more. Those are songs that I bet a lot of people haven't heard. They're so great. Paul has written so many songs(I mean the songs that weren't released on any albums) after The Beatles broke up its insane.

I have been craving something like this for years! Not because I love the other 'McCartney's or anything, but a new album approached in the same loose way as the other two for some reason sounds like it would successful this time. Maybe that is just being hopeful... But in my opinion anything less safe and more creative would be fantastic.

"Ram II" would be even better  .
