Which Beatle as had the most dramatic life ? John's life springs first to mind but the other three Beatles have also had roller coaster lives , not many groups or other famous people can match their life stories .
So which Beatle drama interests you ?

Tough one, so I guess I'd approach this question as if I were a writer or filmmaker looking for the more interesting story. I'll choose John, with George coming in second. John did have so many ups and downs and was considered to be the originator and heart of The Beatles (rightly or not). George's story, kind of standing in the shadows of John and Paul, then the many dramatic events in the later years, strikes me as a good tale. But yes, all of their stories warrant good documentation, don't they?

I'd have to go with Paul. The Farm Years . That long struggle with Linda to find the perfect veggie sausage. The terrible climatic battle with the local council over his bungalow building plans.
You couldn't make this sh*t up.

^^ don't forget the current situation with Heather

"Wings IV introduced Jimmy McCulloch, a spunky lead guitarist with grit, able to spur Paul on unlike any previous soloist. His debut track, the magnificent single `Junior's Farm', stands as one of Wings' finest emotional and technical releases."

"Few people on this planet know as much about Jimmy's musical history than you."

"I'm Joe English and I'm from Glasgow, Scotland." xD

Its a tie between John and Paul... I agree with  Kevin and JMCF about the Paul situation but John had all these threats and women problems and his own inner problems. I think in his short life time John experienced alot of "drama" so I would go with John.

I always found John's life more interesting to read about...

I don't know really. I have this Marc Shapiro book about George Harrison, and he really went to struggles in his life. For him was always hard to find his place into the band, and his solo career was full of ups and dramatic downs. His health was terrible during the late 70s and the mid-late 90s/early 00's.

John's life as solo was also pretty terrible, specially because of the Lost Weekend I guess. When he was recording with May Pang by his hide, he produced beautiful music (Mind Games, Walls and Bridges) but he was emotionally blocked.

Of course Paul had his problems. But until the early Nineties he enjoyed an amazingly solo career, he spent his time with the love of his life, he always looked so good, and he was healty, something that George and John did not. Of course then came Heather, the divorce, the murder intention, but overall it was really good. (Of course, add that he was releasing some of his best music since 1997... )

And I don't know a **** about Ringo. (Sorry old man   ).

LOL , I like Lennon's The Bread Years . Thats such an intresting needy storey
I always liked the drama of Paul's Japanese drugs bust , to this day i can't understand his stupidity over that one , but as a drama i was well impressed by it , always thought he should have tried it in Turkey   would have had more dramatic effect if he had done a Midnight Express

Although i'd say John and George have the most dramatic life, we cant ignore Ringo's struggle with alcoholism and during Let it Be, the pressure of feeling left out and not wanted.

I prefer to rank 'em from most to least dramatic:

John
George
Paul
Ringo

I understand this is cheating and not answering the question, but I think the real drama is in the interplay of the four.  Just like someone said -- Geoff Emerick, maybe, when you get the four together, something magic happens.  Why is not a question anyone can answer, I don't think.

As I mentioned once upon a long ago, I'm working on a screenplay (painfully slowly) about them as people.  Music plays into it, of course, but I've always been the type to watch them between songs, listen to the studio chatter to get a better glimpse, etc.  They were fascinating guys.  Yes, they had problems, but they lived in each other's pockets for years.  I see my co-workers 9 hours a day and I want to strangle most of them.

Bless their hearts; they weathered fame and each other far better than most in, to be charitable, might be similar circumstances, and came away loving each other, even if it meant keeping a distance.  Who knows what might have happened during the '80s or beyond, had John not been taken.
