- While When I'm Sixty-Four was available, it wasn't nostalgic in that sense at all because Paul wrote it when he was 16 and The Beatles performed numerous times in their pre-fame days.
I didn't know they ever performed When I'm 64?
I just want you to reassure him - talk to him, make him see the error of his ways. Then I'll hit him.
Im listening to " Penny Lane " now and it's wonderful perfect infact , but i know if i put on " Strawberry Fields Forever " i will forget " Penny Lane "
that's probably why everyone likes SFF better. But both songs to me hold their own in my heart only because when I listen to either I'm taken to a different place. the songs are different to me. But if I was asked about the Magical Mystery Tour album I probably would forget Penny Lane. Who knows why. maybe it's all in our subconscious. DAMN YOU JOHN LENNON
Oh, that this too, too solid flesh would melt... Zap! My skin's soaked right through to the skin! "The Beatles will exist without us"
They are both good songs, but I think that Penny Lane is more representative of what the Beatles were, with slightly trippy lyrics and a really catchy melody.
You're so vain, you probably think this post is about you.
