What is the exact date of this interview?  I'm trying to see when they first started to grow moustaches.

That'll be late '66 during recording for Sgt. Pepper.

Ringo says 'merry Christmas', and it's definately 1966.

That's a bit of a giveaway!

I've got to find out now. They look quite hairy for 66 - my first thought was The Pretty Things but it doesn't match. Are thet standing in front of a railway track? It's not Zappa either

Problem is that it could be the album's backside you're looking at.

The film was recorded on 24th November 66 before the recording of
Stawberry Fields Forever! They were just entering the studio at this point.

I just looked at the history and it said like December 20th. I remember reading Emerick's book and he said at the first session for Sgt. Pepper they had moustaches which would be November 24, but I've seen pictures from that date from Simon Wells' The Beatles 365 Days and they all appear without moustaches, etc.  Any photographic evidence for moustaches pre 20 December?

Yes, there's pics of George with his infant mustache that he grew starting in Sept. for disguise in India.

His full one would be here: "When they returned to Heathrow airport, on October 22, George was seen to be wearing a moustache." I know I've seen pics of G getting off the plane (or greeting Ravi's flight 4 days later) with a full 'stache.

Paul started growing his after his moped accident, so whatever date that is will help you zero in on Paul. Cheers.

All you've got to do is choose love.  That's how I live it now.  I learned a long time ago, I can feed the birds in my garden.  I can't feed them all. -- Ringo Starr, Rolling Stone magazine, May 2007
